We had a little contest over at the ZDoom forums. The challenge was to create a gameplay altering mod for ZDoom without using any non-text based resources. No new graphics, sounds, music or anything. Only text lumps were allowed in your mod. We got some pretty interesting mutators, but the one that was most favourable (and the one with the most votes) was Any Level Invasion by alysiumX. Congratulations!

Any Level Invasion turns any regular Doom 2 map into an invasion of hellspawn. You get a choice of 4 classes to fend off wave after wave of spawning enemies. You can easily edit the script to customize how many waves of monsters there are, which monsters are allowed to spawn and enable a separate mode mode where only one monster spawns per wave.
