Updates, plans and more

So GVH:CD has been out for just over a week now, are we freezing yet? I hope not! I know there’s a few bugs and balance issues still remaining and I hope to squash them ready for next Monday. Changelog coming soon, highlights include Frostbite not sucking as much and no more damn lag from sparks and stars and such.

Alongside GVH:CD I’ve been working on another side project called Level Master. In this survival orientated mod, one randomly chosen player takes the role of the evil Level Master. His job is to place an Exit Rune for the rest of the players to locate and summon up monsters to make their life miserable. The Level Master uses power to summon monsters and gains power over time. The more power he has the stronger monsters he can summon. If the players make it to the exit rune, the game is over and the next map is loaded. If the players die, the Level Master is victorious and a new level master is chosen! Check the thread for the latest info on that.

So what’s the plan for the rest of 2010? Well as I have mentioned in other threads MM8BDM is going to be my primary focus later on in the year, but what about GVH? Well for starters I’m going to make sure GVH:CD is finished, no v2 treatment for that. Then GVH:EW is finally going to get the update it deserves. Expect some upgrades for the Ghostbuster and Choke and some heavy map alterations to balance things out. Once that’s all good, GVHv2 will be made final and I’ll wrap it all up. From then on I think we can say GVH can be put to rest. I will still update my site with any cool fan map/class packs that come to my attention but I don’t plan on doing any official GVH stuff anymore (or at least for a verrrryyyy long time).

Speaking of GVH, FuPoo has completed the collection of portraits for the GVH cast. Check the character pages on the left (under Ghoul Series) to check em out. I’ll find a use for them eventually.

In other news Megaman 10 has been announced which gave me a huge boner, so don’t worry I am aware of it ;)

Edit: It appears I’ve been graced with one of the many Cacowards this year for GVH. Thanks to all those who NOMinated, mapped for it and supported me to create and feed the beast that is GVH!

    I expect a GVH easter edition soon Bells and Eggs. Featuring the easter bunny for the humans and a giant floating Clock for the ghouls.

    yes, i checked it out. THEY ROCK! the only one i hate is the yurei one. it is too… basic… easily drawn… needs some more shading and some pose. but i really loved choke, eyesore, and ghostbuster. *goes and digs out the eyesore wad out of the collection of player wads*
