Are These Resources Public Domain?

I've taken and distributed a lot of MM8BDM's sprites from the core for my own and others' projects.  But I've never actually stopped to ponder what exactly MM8BDM's public sharing policy is.

The people here don't seem to care that much, but I'm curious now—and so are some other people who would like to use MM8BDM's resources for their own projects.  What exactly is the policy on using MM8BDM's resources?

You can view the credits for this game via the ingame menu. I will list here everyone's
skin contributions to the game as they required the most work to do. Don't forget each
Robot Master skin contains 37 frames of animation, most which were NOT included in
the Mega Man games (a lot of Robot Masters jumped rather than walked) so they had to be
invtented for the game.

If you plan on using any of these sprites, please do the right thing and credit the
person who made them. These guys put thier heart and soul into bringing their favourite
Robot Masters to MM8BDM. Seriously. These guys rock!

Sucks when I see my (or someone elses) sprites get used and not even a mention of the author is listed in the credits or anything. It happens though, it's not like we can enforce this.

Thanks for letting me know, CF asked for me. Hello all! I'd love to use the sprites but I'm not the kind who likes to take without crediting. Had stuff stolen myself. Not fun. Thanks for asking CF.

If you credit MM8BDM there's no need to ask. If you want to give props for specific sprites let us know which sprites you're using and what for and we'll tell you who dids what
