We wanted to punish him for breaking the rules. Honestly, if he couldn't read the rules, maybe he shouldn't have joined at all.

Restarting the match was a perfectly fine alternative in my opinion. Yeah, breaking rules is a big offense and all, but it didn't end up affecting anything because of the match restart. All is well.

All things considered, it didn't ultimately change anything, but we couldn't really know that in the middle of the match. Now that's all said and done, we've dropped the subject about forfeit VS restart, but Stonefunk clearly hasn't. Just drop the prize-disqualification clause and this can all go away.

Alright, I know this is your tournament, but this is the Cutstuff forums. "No-Tolerant americans" comes off as very racist, so don't do it again. I know English isn't your first language so I'm hoping you meant something better than that.

Now here is the major thing I'm warning you over. The people here joined the tournament and one of the promises was a cash prize. Once this has start up, you start making random rules and crap about being able to take it away. That Stonefunk is called Bait and Switch. Whether you consciously did this or not, one of the enticements was a cash prize or avatars from dusty. Now you could very well take away the cash prize if you wanted to AFTER EVERYONE HAS JOINED UP AND THIS THING STARTED. I can understand pulling them down if you had some kind of financial problem or something that would involve not delivering, but this is just plain low.

So you either host this tourney fairly, or I shut down this tournaments thread.

Yeah, you shouldn't really be this loose with the rules when there's money and other things on the line.
