Custom Skin failing to play sounds.

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting, and I'm in need of a little help.
I just finished making a custom skin of Egg Robo while following the pinned tutorial, and the graphics all work perfectly. However, for some reason the skin refuses to play sounds of any kind. Landing, getting hurt and dying are all silent, even with the copy-pasted tutorial code.
To check if it was a misstep on my own end, I downloaded Geno's Demo skin, who's sounds worked like normal. I even added the custom sounds I was going to try using later on into the 8BDM directory and using their names instead, to no avail.
Does anyone know what's causing this, or how to fix it?
Thanks.

Could you post an image of the contents of the skin's pk3?

I'm not at my laptop with SLADE on it at the moment, but I copied and pasted the code for the .pk3 from Geno's tutorial as shown here.
After trying the custom sound thing, which I presume I did wrong anyway, I switched the skin info back to this to see if anything would have changed to no avail.

Alright, here's the .pk3 as it is right now. Sorry for the late reply.
I double-checked and the code appears identical to that of the other skin I installed that has functioning sounds.

Those sound names are too long. They must be 8 characters or less.

Alright, thanks for the advice, but even before I attempted to shoehorn those custom sound names in my skin still refused to play MEGADEAT, LAND, MEGAPAIN and the other default sounds as well.
