Huh, interesting.

...For some reason, all this makes me think MM8BDM would be GREAT as an RPG, like Dungeon and Dragons.

Quote from: "Orange juice :l"
If the enemy uses a "hitstun" weapon (blizzard, metal blade), you cannot move next turn.
Spark Shock would probably stop movement for two turns then.

Time Stopper could allow you to go to whatever distance you want in one turn.

I still say my idea is easier though. :ugeek:

Instead of HP for cards you could just use Ammo counts, and instead of the Chip Add command you could have things like Retreat, Gather Items, or Explore Terrain.

...Actually, something that's half Card Game, and half RPG may work, though the issue with THAT is, actually producing it is harder. Oh well.

Anybody who can code games needs to try making this.

This has nothing to do with coding, really. At all. It's not a computer game.

Would this be the kind of thing we could print off and cut out of a piece of paper?

Once it's done, yes.

Though, first, I need someone to design the cards for me, as I don't have the skills to do that.  :|

Or someone could code a simple app that contains the game.

Ideas for arena cards:

Cut Man: A basic stage. Allowed Weps: Needle Cannon, Gemini Laser, Atomic Fire
Special: You can take two turns to reach the upper level and get one of the following: Rolling Cutter, Ice Slasher, Air Shooter, Napalm Bomb.

Toad Man: Not ready on weps yet, but you move a little bit in the direction the sewer is flowing each turn until you reach a pit and die. If you fall, you lose a frag.

Hopefully, I can come up with more.

This is a clever idea. I'll see if I can brainstorm up some ideas.

A Classes mod would make this really interesting, but balancing it would probably be even more of a chore than actual classes...

It sounds interesting, but this kind of system looks like it would be really clunky to use in practice. Maybe if certain areas affected different sorts of robot masters in different ways, but I don't see how having a system that requires you to hold a piece of paper in front of you to remember the locations of weapons wouldn't be at least a bit annoying.
