What did some of the Early Maps look like?
« on: September 02, 2013, 11:17:01 PM »
I'm really curious on what some of the early maps looked like; By early, i mean.. After and/or Before the SGC Demo, and when the MM8BDM team was still passing ideas on the map designs.

Just askin'.

The "MM8BDM Team" in terms of pre-mm7 was CutmanMike and some people helping with sprites.

You can find a video of the alpha that had old Cutman and Gutsman stages on it.

For v3, I worked on Aqua Man's stage and Wily Stage 2. I have old versions of those maps (especially aqua, that went through a ton of revisions) on my hard drive, so if you want me to upload them for the world to see, I'd be happy to!

I also have old versions of some of the other MM8 maps, but they do not belong to me so I would need permission to show them.

I have old versions of the Wave Man map I did for the SBWT competition, if that counts. The building at the right side of the map (with the two floors) was completely different in my first saved WIP; when I showed Messatsu it, he told me the area was tight and dull, so I revamped it into the two floor design.

Huh, I was only able to find two old versions of aqua. I dunno what happened to all the older builds I had with me. Really disappointing.

Oh well, these two should interest you anyhow.

Oh jeez, don't even think you showed me the oldaqua2.

Anyways, I recently cleaned up my computer so I don't have any old goodies to show.
