Welcome to the FIRST ANNUAL CUTSTUFF HORSE COMPETITION First Cutstuff Community Classes Contest!

What's this, you might ask? Something I've been putting off for at least a year!

In a Cutstuff Community Classes Contest, or CCCC for short, I will give out a theme. Then, contestants will enter with classes they made based on that theme!

Here are a few things you should keep in mind:

I don't know how to make classes!

Non-issue! I've thrown together a template to help you learn how, similar to the Weapon Template!

Personally, I would suggest using this even if you know how to make classes, because it has many assets that will make it easier for you to make your classes, such as the armor health bars.

Also it will make my life a lot easier when I go to put everything in the same file.

Can I enter [x] from [y] Classes?

Technically? Yes, if it fits with the theme. Will the judges be fond of you for it? Probably not. Do you have a high chance of winning? No, not really.

Can someone else make my class for me?

Sure, if they want to. If they don't, don't pester them, gosh.

Should I give my class custom skins/sounds/graphics?

You don't have to! The competition centers primarily around gameplay, not aesthetics, but making your class look cool is definitely something that should be on your priority list.

What if my class ends up similar to another person's?

This will inevitably happen at least once. We'll handle it on a case by case basis, but I'm confident that y'all'll be able to make interesting, different classes.

How complex can I make my class?

Your class can be as complex or simple as you want! However, keep in mind that people have to play this, and having to read a twenty page essay to know how to play a class isn't fun.

So...What happens when the contest is over?

Well, when the entries are finished being submitted, I will compile a pk3 with all the entries. It will be plopped into a server dedicated to the contest, and playtesting will happen. Some time after that, a winner will be chosen, and they will be given their prizes.

Prizes? We actually get stuff for this?

Absolutely!

The best class as chosen by the judges will be added to whatever we're calling the next CSCC, and the creator will also be awarded with The Cutstuff Blacksmith Medal![/b]

Should I make anything aside from the class?

Yes! You should absolutely make a Copy Wep that Megaman would pick up if he were to kill your class.

What's the deadline for the competition?

I was thinking entries should be in by February 22nd, and testing would go on for about a week, with the winner being decided around then. The deadline will change depending on the amount of people who sign up and get their stuff in.

When can I sign up?

Any time between now and the deadline!

How do I submit my class?

Send it to me over Skype or Cutstuff PM, whichever is easier for you.

In reality, though, it's because a majority vote is needed for the winner of the tournament, and there are three judges, so the judges can definitely enter if they want.

Also I want to make stuff based on themes because it's fun.

I'm honestly not sure, I think that's more up to you guys.

Question: if I wanted to make a class that uses "extra skin sprites" (for example, Sword Man splitting) from YD classes, would I be allowed to do that?

I've actually have the opposite problem, I have somewhat of an idea, but no class coding experience.
