Mega Man X 16 Bit Deathmatch
« on: July 18, 2012, 12:52:28 AM »
Okay, so the thing is, I am working on that mod again.  However, with a different system:

You actually get a say on whenever you want to join or not.
A tournament-like system will be deployed:
20 people will have to join the weapon tournament before it can start.
Whoever has the best related version of the weapon gets to have it In-game.  And a weapon medal.
One weapon will be done at a time.
    Multiple classes will be Created:
      Reploid
      Marine Reploid
      Airial Reploid
A map tournament will be created as well.  Same system.  One at a time.

The first weapon we should be doing is Fire Wave.

More to come soon.

And a weapon medal.
I don't see how you can make that happen.
The rest of the post doesn't look like a bad idea.

Is there any progress? I don't like those mods without any sign of proof or just using people.

I don't see this not happening seeing as you haven't followed the rules of the W.I.P. section which is
Quote from: "Ivory"
Guidelines & Rules
1) New threads MUST have some form of work already placed into it. In other words, if you start a topic that's just an idea and has no work placed into it, your thread will be locked.
You don't have any work other then ideas.
When I tried starting the Rockman Strategy expansion I had already done 2 skins, found 8 bit sprites for many bosses, did research on the maps from the game and supplied the pictures to assist, and Nemz even said he would be willing to do textures for it (though I don't see much going on for it so I'm not asking him to unless interest is shown)

Also you didn't even say wither you want the weapons to be chargeable or not.
Also upping the graphics may not be the best thing ever.  16 Bit > 8 Bit meaning a lot more work,
If you keep 8 bit you can do Xtreme and Xtreme 2, where some of the X bosses are already done in 8 bit thus less work for skinners and some are already done.

And here we have yet another thread about a 16BDM game without any substantial proof of actually being worked on.

Hype > actual product

No need to request a lock. This WILL be locked.

You can't run an expansion if you aren't willing to start progress by yourself. We've had dozens of projects started up here. And only a handful actually went anywhere. Guess how many of those expansions actually got released?

1. Powered Up.

You have to understand. No one cares, and no one will care unless you actually take the initiative and start showing us some progress. Some indication that this isn't just another idea that's going to end up in the trash heap. When you show me some evidence of this mod going somewhere, I'll unlock it.
