Save file reset?

Hello! so yesterday i finished with a game save and well saved my game. after i quit the game i went to bed. this morning i opened the game and played the single player campaign to track down Ballade/punk and to fight fake man. however when i started i saw that my entire save was reset. and that i had to start over again   this is strange because i let my game auto save and even if the save failed at max the game should have gone back to when i defeated gamma.  but instead it makes me start all over again. I tried to use the saveprogress cheat to bring me back to my save but it didn't work. what do i do?

Now that i think about it this might not be the right place to post this so yeah.

The saveprogress cheat is now called "mm8bdm_saveprogress". If you beat the campaign before you can do mm8bdm_saveprogress 9999 to max out your campaign progress. Reset lightlabs after doing this by hitting escape and going to singleplayer again.
