Noise Crush also moves faster, has over twice the ammo to charge it, uses nothing when charged, and doesn't recoil you backward.

Besides the need to charge it, I see nothing but free bonuses for a ridiculous 70-damage shot.

As of now, people just plain don't use Noise Crush. That more than anything indicates

(A. It's one of the best-kept 8BDM secrets
Or
(B. There's a reason people don't use it

The thing with Noise Crush is that it isn't difficult to charge. If you run and aim at the ground, then shoot, it charges automagically.

Huh, I always thought Deathmatch was about getting the right weapons/items and using them.
This exactly.
MM8BDM is an arena-style shooter, maybe a lot slower than most textbook examples, but it's still up there.
And tell me this, what arena shooter DOESN'T have those "go to" weapons that people try to pick up that crown above the rest for good reason?
There was the BFG10k in Quake 2 and 3....
The Redeemer in Unreal Tournament...
Hell, even the Spartan Laser and Rocket Launcher from any Halo game before Reach are up there.

I don't think it's the matter of how powerful certain weapons like Noise Crush are, but more so the rarity and placement of them is what the big problem is. I think the maps should make you put more effort into finding the better weapons, with that, better balance can be obtained.

One curious/interestin' thin' about weapons to use in Death Match. Back in v2c, in Chaos Generator, I believe it was Eddie Storm with Party death. That more or less meant that every weapon was pretty much available to ya. And ya would think that folks would use ALL sorts of weapons right? I saw the everyone was attracted a few select weapons (Gravity Hold, Rollin' Cutter, Centaur Flash, etc). Which would mean those are most sought after weapons in a Death Match. Might that raise a concern about the weapon? Not necessarily, but it does show what's good since all weapons have been tried and what true weapons are the best stays as the most used.

If we were to do that experiment, would Noise Crush come out on top? That'll be somethin' worth testin' out.

Noise Crush can be charged by shooting it straight down? That'd better be fixable....

On the topic of ''Scrubs" and "Pros", all I think you can ever do in a multiplayer game is controls yourself. You want to use "skillfull" moves and unique attack styles? Fine, if that makes you happy, but don't be whining if they can't stand up to better strategies. However, that shouldn't mean you should always try to optimize your strategy with moves that you hate using. Sometimes it's fun to play how you want and ignore winning and losing.

I'm currently looking over my playstyle. Constantly modifying it to counter the playstyles of the duelists that keep giving me trouble. All I can say now is that I don't stick to one method in particular. I'm always adjusting every last detail, shifting to different approaches depending on my opponent.

TL;DR I'm way too observant and I need to chill out >.>
I could be making something really simple into something too complicated.

Problem is that a lot of people (such as myself) aren't playing just to win, and institute sets of rules to keep gameplay varied and entertaining.  When someone repeats the same move over and over and over again, you start to wonder why he cares to play in the first place. Does this person find joy in finishing first in video game matches by taking the path of least resistance every single time? If this person is only concerned with winning, why not achieve something that actually matters?

Personally, I only complain when someone acts cheaply in such a way that it ruins the fun that we're supposed to be having in a video game, not a job, a sport, or a chore.

Or the trolls teamkilling but yeah, too much competitive kill the spirit of a sport in the videogames (specially FPS...)
I like to play like a nuts! I mean, do crazy thing but without to be boring.

like the funny moments or others things, the potential of this game is big enough to make us happy to see, we have really good times.

Oh and dem useless "camp" mode who make me Lol because they take the risk to be in a dangerous place....
There is really some fun and funny moments, cause it's "megaman [8BDM] too.....we are fan, but the spirit of sport can be good if there is not too much madness (or ridiculous anti-climatic atmosphere oLoL!),
Rtist is a good funny competitive guy, Mango is a cool troll (except when he teamkill me always and always... ;_______; )
Anyways, don't forget, normal mode is more competitive than classes mode who is 70% of fun (and it was made for TEAM LMS anyways). I prefer play with classes because it gives us some crazy moments ^^ %D

Mango! Give me a Sandwich! :>

I think this is why the game is dead. You might as well re-name the game to "Saxton Hale 8-Bit Mega Man Edition." I honestly don't remember the last time I saw a remotely populated server that didn't have the same 20 people playing the same mediocre mod.

The best way to play a mode you want is getting some friends to pay it with you and letting other people join gradually, IMO.

THIS SO MUCH. The really sad story is that people would just rather just play Saxton Fail (a gamemode I absolutely completely LOATH) than update CSCC and Rockman No Constancy (both which I actually like playing around with, but still haven't been updated for MM8BDMv3!!!).

I really wish we'd see more vanilla DM and one flag CTF servers. CSCC is a thing I would like to see again. I'm not sure where Teaparty Classes is going because it's incredibly quiet. I'm not all that interested in MMSP. Saxton Hale is cool and all, but it gets way too much attention.

Also, was I temporarily dead at the time that Rockman No Constancy was a thing?

pinkkittyrose why don't you stream mm8bdm more often because that was so much yes
