the GBA remake had some pain sprites for enemies, i based sparky off of it. i don't see where jumping dan is though

Does anyone mind evalulating my current front, back, back right, and damage sprites of Ax Knight? (http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m563/kagegamer12/Progress.png)
I haven't really put much effort in making the front of the ax since I'm not really sure how I should make the front at all. Also I used the pain sprite of Ax Knight from Kirby Super Star to make my pain sprites for the Kirby's Adventure version of Ax Knight since he didn't really had a pain sprite at all in Kirby's Adventure.
I haven't worked on making them walk or attack yet but hopefully I will work on that soon enough once I figure out how he should move and hold his ax when walking, standing, and attacking from the front and back.
What do you guys think of these sprites for Cappy, and their possible configurations?

On the first configuration, his hat only pops up while he fires, which seems more in keeping with his behavior in the game, though it pretty much keeps you from telling which way he's walking.
On the second one, I tried to implement Korby's idea of having the hat move while walking, and
his hat also still pops up while firing.
Looking at it now, I could probably move the hat closer to his head on some of the hurt sprites. Does anyone have any other suggestions for alterations to the sprites, or a preference on the configurations (or even a new configuration)?
I want to try to get this as good as possible, since this seems (at least to me) to be one of the more iconic Kirby enemies.
Also, on a totally unrelated note, will this expansion have a bonus level that incorporates the Crane Fever, Egg Catcher, and Quick Draw minigames? :p Maybe the Museum area with powers on pedestals, even...

I think I decided to go with Configuration 1, but I also tried to polish it up, and give him a better-looking walking animation that's more recognizably walking, and that hopefully lets you see which direction he's facing despite his hat. I think I had something like the tentacle-hopping from Day of the Tentacle in mind.
What do you guys think?

Also, great job on Togezo, Bondman. You're a decent spriter. However, his spike hat looks a little wobbly in the front walking frames. You should fix that.

Also, I agree that hats probably wouldn't work very well with all the varying skin heights we're probably going to have. But on the other hand, I really do like the idea of having a single power at a time, with infinite ammo (and potentially stat alterations). That seems closer to the original game, and would make the expansion much more distinct and interesting (and fun!). Would the weapons pickups look like the enemies in frozen form, like in the game?

Looking at the expansion, it seems you've got some odd setup there. You close to three times as many weapons as maps (and god knows how many skins). It looks like people are chipping away randomly at skins, an occasional weapon appearing, and no progress on maps. A few suggestions.
-Switch Rainbow Resort to DM map, and not CTF. CTF maps outside the main are relatively not played. (I have never seen them outside Savior's server).
-Judge (or post) pictures of the tilesets. Is there really only enough tiles for one map per world? Say you do two, now you've got 14 maps. Three, and you've got 21, although that's unrealistic UNLESS you denote a "small, medium, large" for each world. This way people who are not "veterans" at mapping can take shots at smaller map. Not every map has to be massive - that's a different pack entirely. Look at the main game and completed expansion to see what I mean. If you REALLY convince yourself to make smaller maps, you might make room for more. Hell, even "small, small, medium" or S/M/M might work, with a few Large maps as exceptions. Also, Mr. X has left, so don't expect to be getting a map from him. Really, maps the size of Sand Canyon or Snake Man should really be fine.
-Specify on your ideas a bit in the first post. xColdxFusionx posted an example of what you could do to define weapons. Since it's not mentioned, I assume you included HUDs as part of the finished weapon, but there seems to be disagreement over the weapon's outer appearance as well as HUD icons. Perhaps include a section for that in the main post as well?
...Actually, glancing at the last dozen pages or so. Actually, I believe the starter of this expansion was banned (violating the "no leaving" rule etc.). Ignoring everything I just said... This expansion is going to be tied in a knot faster than you can say "radaw woom" if someone doesn't take control. I suggest we nominate people and once a person gets 3 nominations, he is eligible for running. I nominate Korby, Gummy, and xColdxFusionx. There are really SO many unanswered questions that need a definitive answer (not a democratic one) that I'd like to see a head person.
It seems like maybe the bookkeeping for this expansion is kinda behind, so I'm gonna try to sum up everything in the last 40 pages or so. I'm sure this is full of all kinds of misinformation and errors, so please feel free to straighten me out.

I based these lists on Kapus's (I hope that was okay), added the enemies from the game that were missing from the original list, and arranged them all alphabetically by the names given on the Wiki. When the enemy names were different, I put the Wiki's names in brackets to the right. I also added people's names to the skins they made, for credit-reasons. Making 60 different skins for the win!

Since I just realized that MagnetMan is currently on an indefinite hiatus from Cutstuff (http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3041) (as Roc referenced a page or so ago), I kind of agree that we need someone to take over for him in running the expansion, if that's possible, to keep track of all this stuff and make executive-flavor decisions, so that this thing can eventually get finished. (If no one else wants to, I would be willing to do it, though admittedly I only have experience making skins and maps with custom textures, so far...)
