I wont be hypocrit, i will support this game and i will give like 60$ i think!

I like the design style and the graphism, need to see a video about the gameplay or the music but im pretty sure Keiji Unafune did well...

With capcom, we have only......the new.... Rockman XoverB ;_________;

I find heavy irony in this Kickstarter project. Why?
IT'S A MEGAMAN RIPOFF, CREATED BY THE CREATOR OF MEGAMAN!

Honestly, i hope this bland ripoff never sees the light of day.

Ripoff... Ripoff?... RIPOFF?!?

RIPOFF?!?!?!

It's not a ripoff at all. Megaman rightfully belongs to Inafune, but Capcom legally owns it and its characters. In fact, if you watched the video, Inafune says he's making it for US. Fans that are disappointed with Capcom's lack of attention towards megaman. Sure, it's a different face, but at least we'll be getting the game knowing that it was made the way it's meant to be. I for one will wait for this, and hope for the best with this project. As a megaman fan, this will receive my full support.

I am thrilled with it.

Good graphics, mega man-esque gameplay, not 8 bit, etc. This is what I've been waiting for from a "Mega Man" game. What would never occur because the bulk of the fanbase screams for 8 bit. I got tired of 8 bit. MM9 ate up all my 8 bit nostalgia. This is exactly what Mr. X and I would always sit around discussing when it came to a future mega man title. I am excited and I pray this gets financed. Only Kickstarter thing I found worthy of my funding.

I relate with you buddy, a demo Xover was made into a flash game in a couple of days.

I think it's a great idea as well! Megaman 10 was a blast for me (and I made an enemy with Blademan but whatever), Inafune and co.will be able to pull this off and make it awesome.
It will be one of the best retro-esque platformers.

Even though Capcom has their head so far up their ass they've turned inside out, maybe if this does well Capcom will actually think for a second and look into creating a new Mega Man title.

I don't know yet if I'll donate...money for me is pretty tight as is. I really hope this project gets enough support, though.

Inb4 in the future Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch turns into Mighty No. 9 Deathmatch (MN9DM).

Megaman IS Megaman/Rockman
Mighty n9 is Mighty n9 but it can work like a fan expansion? (like mmX class or others? hehe....

Hahah! I knew this would happen after reading that post of yours where you said you'd like a Megaman game that wasn't 8-bit. I'm aware wishes can come true, but it sure came true quickly for you~  :p

I saw the word Linux in the video description. And I saw it again on the website.

I really hope that will happen.
I so much do.

So, will Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch v8 (Mighty Number Nine Expansion) be running on something 3d, like Darkplaces or Unreal?

I really like how the artstyle is equally reminiscent of not only Classic Mega Man, but also of all the spinoffs (A lot of the designs remind me of Mega Man Zero in particular.)

My only real worry is how much this game intends to emulate the classic Mega Man. I'd be rather disappointed if it was just your standard Mega Man classic game with shinier graphics (although I suppose that's probably exactly what other people want out of this project), without deviating from the standard formula too much. Inafune has room to experiment and truly make this a Mega Man game for the 21st century, and squandering that opportunity to merely make Mega Man 11 with a fancier artstyle would be a bit of a let-down.

It's sad. Inafune clearly wanted to make more megaman games but working at Capcom he could not. But this is the closest we can get for a new classic 2d megaman game. It may not have it's name, but it has it's blood.

Thoughts I had when looking at this:

Really? Could he have made something more plagaristic? you're a free bird man stretch your designing muscles
Holy shazbot I can't even see what is going on in those screenshots
I mean really this is Mega Man: Copyright Infringement Edition not Sonic 4
That transformation gimmick might actually be cool
    PLAYABLE ROLL  :p
This is going to get funded no matter what because lolwellknowndeveloper
Capcom is probably going to be a massive ass about this somehow

Yeah I'm not backing until I know for sure Capcom isn't gonna sue them or something.

well the project is already funded at 520 000$ at this rate they'll easily reach the extended goals.

It looks like a cross between Zero, ZX, and some elements of Legends.
