Archetypal Classes Pack - ACP
« on: November 03, 2013, 03:14:36 PM »
I'll be attempting to make a classes pack with classes that not only fit
cleanly into a character archetype, but are also fun and interesting to use.

This will be attempted through some slight complexity; although following the archetype down
to the t, the class must still have uniqueness, else it's bland.

Archetypical, even stereotypical, but not bland.

Classes thought up so far
-Tank
-Shielder
-Medium
-Melee

I'd love feedback. The goal is to make these classes as enjoyable as possible, but basic.

Send me a PM if you'd care to join

This is incredibly similar to something I was planning on doing. Nice to see someone else do it.

I would love to see what "designs" those three weapons fill on Darkman.

This should be interesting, to see "fun general role filling classes," while also not directly cloning things from Team Fortress 2. Of course, it doesn't hurt to draw some ideas at times, even reworking them.

Before "oh hey another classes mod go away" arguments happen, face it, game modifications are the only reason some games still live. Balance and uniqueness is a priority from the beginning on this project, so I'm sort of looking forward to it.
