Junk Shield Turbo Tires damage
« on: February 12, 2014, 12:14:19 AM »
So this is something I discovered a while back but have been lazy in reporting it. Basically when you have junk shield on and try to bounce on the tires and you take damage from them. I first found this on a custom map, than tried this on the MM7TUR map itself, than the tire outside of Light's Lab and sure enough there was damage taken. I don't know if this important for the makers of the upcoming expansion to acknowledge this but I just want to note this.

Considering that Charge Kicking tires hurts you too and that's been known and ignored since forever, I don't think this will get fixed. (It's actually working as intended, btw, tires have +REFLECTIVE and so will reflect projectiles that hover next to people like Junk Shield and Charge Kick just as well as they reflect buster shots)

It's because the tires reflect projectiles.  Both Charge Kick and Junk Shield fire off projectiles, so they can reflect back at you.  It's something to note though on Junk Shield since that behavior is a little odd.  Actually, reflection is kinda borked online in Zandronum anyway, so that's another issue to look at.
