a "pending" tournament. PLEASE READ FOR INFO
« on: May 10, 2011, 03:37:58 PM »
i was thinking i could host a tournament after kenkoru is done. if i get the approval from cutmanmike, then i may host it. it will be a simple duel tournament consisting of 16 people. it will have the classes mod(v4e)on. just when cutmanmike approves, simply comment on which class you will use.you can have more then one but no more then three. cutmanmike, you may enter to if you like. the frag limit will be held at 10, and the time limit wilt be 5 minutes. if you are defeated in the tournament, then well you are defeated. cant do anything to bring you back in. if i catch you trying to sneak back into the tournament, i will kick you from the server. i wish i could give a prize, but well not sure thats possible. :?  if it is comment me on how to give a prize (badges will work, if cmm can give them, then i'll pm him on who to give it to) also, if ivory, korby, or brotoad(or any other site admin)sees this, feel free to drop a comment.

EDIT: i changed the rules according to what Michael said. now you may have only one class, and if mm4 classes come out soon they will be added to the class list. now there is no time limit. the only other rule i can think of is that if you use shadowman for all the wrong reasons(CAMPING FOR THE WHOLE MATCH) rather then using him for a actual battle, then i will kick you for it. trust me, i dont have the time to be waiting around for a opponent to find you. i understand i am being a little unfair for shadowman users but if you camp for more then 5 dang minutes, then you need to be kicked.plus i may need helpers in the tournament when i am not around. if someone can teach me to give  rcon passcodes, i'll gladly have you as my second in command.

I say yes but I think it is best to have 1 robot master and no time limit. We should also use the next version of the classes thing which would probably have MM4 classes) yd, buff hardman!

Classes are so broken that I don't see why people want to compete in a tournament with the anyway.
2 v 2 made a bit of sense, since teammates can compliment each other.
In any case, more power to you if people sign up, but given the nature of classes and the saturation of failed tournaments, I don't think it's the best idea.

This pretty much describes my feelings.

Although we need a break from tourneys in general.
