Help & Editing / My Zombies keep spawning stuck!

Pretty self explanetory. I have zombies spawning in a "secret mod/update/thing" that I will release in a few days, BUT the problem is they keep spawning inside the walls like that! This renders them immobile, but still capable of attacking players when they get close.

How do I fix this? :?

I need to know if I can use the Zombie skin for a secret project I'm doing in time for this year's Halloween. :twisted: He's coded in, and he works resonably well (not without bugs though), but I'm not sure if I can simpily use it.

Is this okay?

Help & Editing / Skulltag keeps crashing! (SOLVED: CURSE YOU, QUICKMAN)

Please help! Skulltag keeps crashing for me now for no reason! :mad: This problem has only started tonight, and it keeps crashing on every map I try. I've tried MM2QUI, MM4RIN and MM2BUBX and it's crashed everytime!

I've been playing on classes for a while now (testing and playing with my class for community classes), but the crashings have only started now! Is there anything there can be done? :(


EDIT: Solved! So it was Quickman dying from force beams that was causing this... I guess I better avoid adding him as a bot until the next Classes update fixes the issue.

Help & Editing / Jerky movement in Doom Builder's Visual Mode

I've been having this problem for a week or two now. Movement in visual mode was smooth and fine, but now it moves kinda jerky, as in it seems to jump a few spaces. If I toggle gravity, the camera still falls smoothly. This is really annoying me now.

How do I fix this?

It's finally time for me to unveil my secret project: the ability to create custom bosses. There are two types of bosses in MM8BDM; one is a regular monster and the other is a bot with a special weapon. The two bosses in this demonstration demonstrate both types and are fought in a fashion simular to the Unknown map in the campagin, and even has two extremely basic sample deathmatch maps that accually takes the player to the bosses.

Due to certain circumstances, these two bosses have a seperate Unknown map to themselves (UNKWON) since changing the regular one is definetly a recipie for disaster.

Finally, I've left the scripts open so you can see how the two of them work; HOWEVER, I'm not that good at documentation, but I've left some comments in the scripts. I can also gaurentee that this is not how CutmanMike did his bosses, but at least it seems to be working.

Last of all, be careful with weapon selections against some bosses, especially monster based ones. For example, the first boss can be easily defeated with the Noise Crush if you aim at the right spot, and Magnet Missile and Dive Missile are completly broken against them as well. (Try the "give weapons" cheat and you'll see what I mean)

Well, I guess it's time for me to work on a Map Pack myself! Introducing the B-Pack, a collection of some of my DM and CTF maps. The maps may not be Mr. X or Ivory quality, but I guess it's a start.

This pack will not have custom weapons.

Help & Editing / Small question for Player TIDS

In MM8BDM each player is assigned a Thing TID (starting from 1000 all the way to 1032) and I'm wondering, is the first one (TID 1000) always the server host? Right now, I'm working on the Hub for my Chaos Generator Upgraded thing and I don't want just anyone selecting a stage.

Right now, anyone can select Chaos Effects, but only the server host (I think, I assume he/she will be TID 1000 :?) can reset the reels and choose a stage. But since I can't go online to test, I'm asking.

Projects & Creative / [Old thread] Chaos Generator Upgraded Ver. M

After downloading and playing the original Chaos Generator release, I was hooked on what it could do and the crazy matches it could result. So I decided to tweek and add more and more features.

Note: From Ver. I onwards, all releases will be handled by Xhatahx, not me. He has taken over development of this mod now. See the new thread here.

How to run
Simply add chaosgenerator_upgraded_vm.wad. That's it!

About the Hub
The Chaos Hub's map name is CHAOSHUB, and to return there, someone will have to do a map vote to it. The current "Master" can only pick any of the Chaos Effects while the other players wait. The Master can also reset the reels, any misc options and choose which level to go to. Also, note that not all Chaos Effects are compatible with each other (e.g. you can't have Half Damage AND Double Damage), so the hub won't let you pick incompatible effects.

I play MM8BDM, although sadly offline, but I like creating and downloading stuff, and destroying bots. I may upload some of my own stuff in the future.
