Many people talk about the idea of a Final Destination showdown in MM8BDM.. well I decided to make it a reality!

So, here it is.

There are 32 player starts in this map which can get really crazy with bots or players.

This map is designed to be played in a Last Man Standing format, however there are items for Deathmatch beyond just the megabuster.

There are 2 Sakugarne's on the first 2 player starts as well as 2 Top Spins and 2 small weapon energy power-ups.

See if you can find the yashichi, this one is easy. Possibly easier in some way for OpenGL users.

Bronze Award : Win a Last-Man Standing Match with 5 or more bots with any fraglimit. OR Win a Free-For-All Deathmatch against 1 or more human players with any fraglimit.

Silver Award : Win a Last-Man Standing match against 5 or more human players with a fraglimit of 15. OR Win a Free-For-All Deathmatch against 5 or more human players with a fraglimit of 10.

Gold Award : Win a Last-Man Standing against 10 or more human players with a fraglimit of 15. OR Win a Free-For-All Deathmatch against 10 or more human players with a fraglimit of 10.

PLATINUM Award : Beat all other challenges. Win versus a Roll army (1 vs 20 or more) in Last Man Standing with a Winlimit of 200.

Not quite how I imagined, for instance. I imagined a 1024x1024 square arena with player starts only and no item, possibly with a script to remove everything except Mega Buster.

I had the Metool Daddy in there at first for single player, but the arena wasn't big enough to dodge him. There also originally were no weapons but the playtesters suggested something more imaginative than just the busters. 1024x1024 feels a bit big and doesn't feel hazardous enough to me. I'm interested to see what you come up with though.

Well, since I doubt anyone had this map at the moment, and I wanted some form of award, I went out of my way and got noobed on by a bunch of Rolls on my own server.

The result? Well, I win. Of course, this took me 1½ hours, and wasn't too "fun", but bygod, I will prove myself to SSW. Bugger your challenge.

Protip: Don't do this yourself if your computer suffers from lag via Spamcannons. The bots will jump you before you get a chance to know the match started, without a good computer.
--In order to not get buttraped by elecbeams or gemini lasers, JUMP! Immidiately.
As for Dive Missles/Magnet Missles. You lose. There's no dodging all of them in time to win.

Best-Ever was shut down semi-recently, so links going to it are dead. SSW hasn't been around since February, and I don't have the files, so you may be out of luck.
