Title: Mr. Clean Sponsored Classes Duel Tiers
Post by: Magnet Dood on February 22, 2014, 09:56:15 PM
A couple of days ago, Orange Juice expressed his desire to tier all of the classes according to their ability in Duel after observing me fighting with Dark Man 2. He called him a "wet sponge" based on his fighting prowess next to other classes, to which I responded that Charge Man must be likened to a Mr. Clean Super Scrubber.

Enter Mr. Clean Duel Tiers.

This is a sort of guidebook for players on the wonders of Classes Duel, which has experienced a resurgence in popularity the past few weeks. Each and every class is tiered according to their ability and their descriptions are chock-full of attack notes, lame puns, and ways to counter them.  The tiers start at Charge Man, who is in a class all his own, ending at what OJ has dubbed the "Spongeforce", the lowest possible tier available. Feel free to post your ideas, thoughts, and comments on these here.

Keep in mind that these are entirely subjective and are not based according to personal ability- classes are merely tools waiting to be exploited by those who can use them well.

maybe this could make classes duel tournaments a little more interesting

I approve of Springman's position. I constantly killed Llamahombre in a duel by hitting him with the unsplit coil. Tons of damage.

Speaking of that, you never said anything about his unsplit coil's high damage.

You seem to be missing Enker.

Looks like Chargeman might be getting a friend :^)

Well shoot

Enker added to High Tier due to an oversight on my part. Thanks, Bik.

Well, someone's got to do the fact-checking, I guess.

Also, you missed Rock (even though you mentioned him in Mega's section) and Grenade (even though you mentioned Crazy Destroyer in Crash Man's section).

Just a small gripe; but could you maybe bold the names of each of the RM's? I actually have a hard time picking out the classes I want to read about quickly. Thank ya.

And yeah I know about Grenade

Thanks for the checking. I'll go back and fix the problems you pointed out.

That's how it was originally, but that would take a lot of time and would probably break the character limit.

You have used 56185/62464 characters.

I think you can afford some bold on it.

Well all right then

Names bolded by request.

Hey another suggestion besides bolding; Make the names of the masters have larger font than the rest of the descriptions/counters, it'll make picking things out a breeze.

The classes are just YD classes, which have not currently been updated.

Nor have these- probably should get around to that later.

I was about to suggest that.
Galaxy Man isn't on here anywhere.

Nor is Hornetman, or updated versions of classes, hence the need for an update.

Unfortunately, the mod itself hasn't been updated yet, so updating the tier list is rather silly.

True, true.

Until then,
fare thee well.

I know I shouldn't bump an old thread, but this should be updated.

I'll have to admit the title of this thread alone got my attention.

Anyway I can agree with the ones I remember playing with some years ago, QuickMan was fun but spammy.

And yeah, this should really be updated.

With how often new betas keep coming out, I feel like updating it right now would be a waste of time. That and I'd totally break the text limit adding in the new classes I don't have yet.

Redoing this is going to take a long time, and to be fair, it needs to be a lot more in-depth to see who beats who and who should be placed higher or lower based on their designs and such, not just because they're used a bunch in servers. This was very subjective based on a few trends from an old version so I'd have to come up with a better way to do it.

Ha, Plant's in low tier in this one. Simpler times.
