Stonefunk, you are comparing apples to oranges. DBZ is a shonen about really strong people getting even more stronger so they can defeat even more OP opponents who do stuff like killing millions or blowing up the earth. Thus the heroes use the titular plot coupons to undo the damage so the next OP opponent can show his face after a short time of peace.

It's a show that really wasn't meant to be taken seriously, the fights have little weight to them since death/destruction is so easy to undo.

Kirby is a series about a pink puffball who can have a game in just about any genre and work. Who has to fight from everything from the incarnation of evil that plagues the land to beating up his constant frienemy over food.

Filled with charming graphics, gameplay designed to be easy enough for a new gamer to pick up, yet still fun for a veteran. The post-game, 100% completion, and especially the arenas give even veteran players a difficult time.


Now that I've said my piece, how about we just knock off this endless debate? I haven't seen anything else posted in this thread for three days since it started.

I like how it basically only describes itself as "mega man is cool so we're going to do a spiritual successor too" and then doesn't actually explain a thing about what the hell the gameplay is. It looks like some weird bastardized version of MMZ or ZX and the Q&A is confusing.

Also:

Is Dr. Light the creator of Max?
No, neither Dr. Light nor Dr. White. There will be no Dr. Shine or anything along those lines. We want this project to find its own identity and we want to avoid similarities with other games. Max was created by someone, but this person will be revealed at the end of the game.

Perhaps a better way to do that is to not make something that looks so Mega Many... meh.
