It's pointless having stairs and slopes. Everyone will now use Slopes to get around quicker apart from

Ideally slopes will only be used in places where there are currently several tightly-packed stairs without landings or to act as a barrier to ground weapons without making simple walking annoying, such as in the outside section of Napalm Man's stage.  I'm confident that the vast majority of stairs currently in place will stay just as they are.

Ramp in the middle is far superior, both in terms of functionality and aesthetics.  The steps on the side are also ideal for placing random little powerups.

Nice idea and all. But I think that the stairs should be on the sides and the slope should be in the center. It seems more natural that way.

Figured it was just an attempt to make both sides happy. But with the slopes the stairs are kinda useless.

Someone mentioned the possibility of putting extra little items there. I'd assume stuff like small health and ammunition stuff. That way there is a reward if you bother using the stairs portion.

I personally really like the idea of stairs on the sides next to the wall and slopes in the middle.
