Receiving a Script Error (mm8bdm-v5b.pk3)
« on: July 16, 2017, 06:03:48 PM »
I apologize if this is posted somewhere else, but I couldn't find anything on how to fix it. Whenever I run Zandronum and try to play a game involving the mm8bdm-v5b.pd3, I keep getting this Script Error:

Execution could not continue.

Script error, "mm8bdm-v5b.pk3:actors/player/megaman-flags.txt" line 2:
Expected '{', got 'Ignition'.

I've tried reinstalling the file, reinstalling Zandronum and starting from scratch, directly downloading the file and replacing it, and attempted to fix the script error myself (which gives me a whole new set of errors).

How can I fix this? Thanks.

Guess it would've helped it I was running 3.0 instead of the older versions, I fixed it- out of curiosity though, why have so many Zandronum servers already upgraded to 3.0 instead of 2.1.2 when 3.0 is still in beta? I'm not a coder or anything so maybe someone can shed some light on this?

It's because the Zandronum community (even with us combined) isn't that large, and not many people actually test the engine out. Even those who did usually only tested one specific mod or a handful of players rather than lots of different mods and lots of players. With TSPG now forcing the beta versions progress is actually being made and we may see 3.0 actually get finished.
