Yeah, I agree there with Stonefunk. This topic really isn't doing much, other than showing who's more popular than everyone else, and from the looks of it to me, it seems everyone is more voting on the better players of Deathmatch than anyone else.
I feel people are voting on the veterans, best players, or frequent Skypers.

Exactly. (my joke wanted say that ^^)

Oh well, most of the people here votes for better-popular players here. Oh well.

Here is my list:

-King Yamato
-Alucard (Yeah, you)
-Flanny
-Ashley
-Kenkoru

I like thoses persons NOT BECAUSE they are good players or something else. I'm voting for them, Because i feel them like to be true friends (And rivals), Even when i'm not a very good player, they accepted me. Also, i like to mention other users here:

-CutmanMike
-OJ
-Mango
-Messatsu
-Kapus

But that is the point of the topic. Savior said so in the first post.

That would make sense except for the plain fact that popularity /=/ loveworthy.

I believe what they're trying to say is that having a popularity topic is pointless to begin with.
Personally, I find the whole "keeping score of how much everyone is loved" thing to be distasteful. Playing favorites with people doesn't sit well with me, and limiting it to a small number just ensures that some people will end up with hurt feelings.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this topic was a great idea. People disliked the other "greatest players" topics because they turned into popularity contest. It's bizarre logic to think that making a topic with the sole purpose of being a popularity contest would be a good thing.

This topic can be either heartwarming or disappointing. People who get lots of votes will probably feel very happy. On the other hand, people who don't get mentioned at all will feel unloved, unnoticed or just overshadowed. (which is exactly why I told people to make more lists. 5 just doesn't do justice!) Being in second place(for whatever reason), I naturally feel pretty happy. But I also feel pretty bad for the people who don't get a lot of votes, or for people who don't get any votes at all. I can only vote for 5 people, so what else can I do other than make a second post with a longer list that doesn't count?

However, something about this topic fascinates me. People hate on the "Best Player" topics because they quickly turn into "popularity contests." In that case, wouldn't the same people that were in the lead in the "best player" topics be leading here?

Apparently not. In the "best player" topics, Rawk Hawk, OJ and Celebi are usually taking the lead. In this topic, Bluebrawl, Korby and Kapus are taking the lead. That's a pretty big change.  I guess the best player topic isn't as much of a popularity contest as people make it out to be.

Yes, this is very true. The topic title is a little misleading. I would give a good example of your sentence, but I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings.

So yes, this topic is bittersweet. It either makes you happy or makes you disappointed.(or in my case, fascinate you)
On the bright side, it's always nice to give big shout-outs to all the fun people to let them know they're cool.

Everyone chill da funk out about this topic. Many of these votes are for people they like or respect. Not evveryone is voting for high-skilled players. You have votes for people that we can consider amiable and awesome in general.
But I'll be honest here: I have no fucking idea how I got this many votes. I ragequit like anyone else, I can curse at players on the other team, I EVEN HELPED THE CUTFORCE TROLL DARKMATH AND OTHER ROLE PLAYERS. It baffles me to see how people overlook that, but I guess I should drop a theory and then ignore this topic for good.

Did the "other role players" count me? Because I don't remember any Cutforce members trolling me...

After readin' some of the comments above, I've decided to rename the topic to a less "offensive" name.
It's just sad that people can get a misunderstanding that can cause a big deal when the original purpose was never meant for any offense.

I won't lock this thread, but I ask you reconsider it's existence. It seems harmless, I also don't want to see anyone's feelings getting hurt because they aren't chosen.
There are many different users at cutstuff, some are more popular than others, some simply don't get the recognition they deserve.

Just remember, just because no one posts about it. Doesn't mean there isn't anyone feeling hurt about not being able to be ignored by the majority.

To add on to this, today, someone did in fact tell me they were feeling hurt because no one picked them. In fact, no one even mentioned said person in any honorable mentions. Keep in mind what this thread is doing. If I get any more complaints about this topic, I will be shutting it down. Just keep that in mind.
