There is a sad turn of events. Recently, I had been busy with many different things, and I will still be for a while. That's why I'll have to release the only skins I've done before. Sadly, I don't have bots for them this time.

Yep, it's me. The same guy responsible for recreating Knuckles entirely (and revamping Sonic at the moment as well) for SRB2.



I had registered in here quite the time ago, but little after I had registered, I had too much to do and had no time for focusing on making skins. Recently, I then remembered that Halloween is going to be the second anniversary for the Megaman Sprite Game, and decided to get back onto doing skins related to it for MM8BDM. For those who are not aware of what it is, it is the official game of the only decent sprite comic known as megaman sprite comic. Trailer of the game for those who didn't know as well.

I am willing to make some more skins up until Halloween, but I really would feel the need to make a more complete set if anyone could help me on making a mod, with few custom levels and story for making a more interesting experience between the megaman sprite comic and game characters. If anyone could help on that, it would make a really great release for Halloween~

Yes, they both are done, but I don't intend releasing them yet, as I actually intend doing more of these, and maybe release it all as a pack some time soon.

I actually would love to do an entire mod for Halloween, but I would need slightly technical help from someone who knows how to modify the main things in the game (because I tried before and I just don't even).

I might do pretty much all of them, since I love the comic so much. But should I make snakeman as well? He's pretty much a stupid prick who looks like an idiot who can't even fight, so I'm unsure what to do for his animations. I might end up making him standing still for every action.

I was thinking if I should make cool enemies from the megaman sprite game too, because for some reason, I really want to make the b-ball bumper skin, as well the ghost.

Suggestions welcome, he he he he!

Gave it a shot, and yeah, it broke. I might just make something like modifying the NPCs when I know more of the modding possibilities on this game, if it's even possible. If nobody else knows, then that will have to wait, yeah.

Comes with the skin and the bot WAD with the best lines of your favorite aborted child turned into a robot. Yes, that's all, go enjoy it, as I'll likely not be online that often next month. Happy new year too, yeah.

Tried to do that and been experimenting with things around it in both pk3 and WAD files to see if it would make things different, but the NPCs still do look the same, and the files do have the same names as inside the game. Is there something else I am supposed to leave on the file to make it work other than just the sprite files, like a folder or a text file?

If anything, a sample skin/pack that has something like that modified done before would serve as a good sample.

Not really, no. No release of this yet, because there is something I have to take care of, so things will have to wait a bit.

Back to my previous question, anyone here knows how to modify the NPCs in Dr. Light's house? I can't make an expansion pack to modify the place without knowing about it. I at least remember seeing screenshots where Roll in the robot master wardrobe was wearing different clothes.

I wouldn't do Frost Man as I only intend to do the characters that appear in Dr. Light's house. Unless he appears in there and I didn't see him yet, since I didn't get too far on the game yet.

But yeah, maybe I could ask Brotoad on that.

Should I do something with the characters that never appeared on the Megaman Sprite Comic? As in, should I do my own view on how they would be like if they appeared in the sprite comic (because I did that before with some other people, since I love the comic so much), or should I leave them as they normally are?

Just wondering, before I release this skin, does anybody knows what to do to replace NPC sprites, like Roll's on the Robot Master Wardrobe? I want to give them their other designs so it goes along the sprite comic skin.

Yeah, well, I seriously hope this is the last thing I have to update on this skin, because I updated it quite the times so far, and there was even some that I updated without mentioning. I was actually planning to put an 8 bit-ish dying Sonic sound effect for him, but I don't think it's really worth it, since he's all Megaman styled.

Get it here, yeah. The skin's be renamed now, so no problems with the other Sonic skin will happen.

I also have to say now that I won't have much free time for the next weeks, as I have to work on a very important project without any delays, but here's something that is good to look at while I don't work on anything.

Anyone who has the best taste ever for a "megaman sprite comic" will know what this is supposed to be. Although I refuse to make further progress to release this skin, unless I get permission and approval from BroToad, so if anybody sees him, ask him if he thinks this is a good idea. I personally think it's not the best idea, since Megaman and megaman are two completely different things.

If you played the game, you will know what his "shooting" animation is.

How about I call him Snoic?

Or Sonic-MM (as in Mega Man) since the intention was to make him Mega Man styled. I got this idea from some skins in the game such as Roll-Mobile and Bass-SCG.

Not willing to change his name unless enough people think it's a necessary change. In the meantime, just leave the Sonic skin you prefer in the skins folder while the other one stays out of the skins folder, because that's what I would do anyway. I can't imagine myself nor much people playing with two different Sonic skins that way.

Zip's been updated, Sonic now carries the mega buster on every animation now, and the mega buster Sonic skin has the name changed to Sonic-Buster, so both can be in the folder without any conflicting.



Gotta say that he looks kind of heroic when standing with the buster in a front view.

I think it would feel more worth to rename Sonic with the Mega Buster into SonicBuster (or something like Sonic-Buster, Sonic-Alt) if I applied a Mega Buster to all of the frames. It wouldn't take long to do that, and it would make more sense for it being like that rather than the buster only appearing out of nowhere in the shooting frames. I'll do it after getting feedback on this idea.

Busterless Sonic will still be called Sonic, though.
