Title: CSCAT: Taking Submissions and Looking for Coders!

Alright, I decided I will do this. Hopefully, I don't fail.

CSCAT = Cut Stuff Community Armory Thing (credit to Korby for name)

So, you can submit a weapon here. What must it be like to be accepted?:

-A concept must be submitted to me that I approve of before you submit the actual weapon.
-In order for the weapon to be accepted, someone must actually make the weapon, whether it be the submitter or a person they asked for help.
-The weapon MUST NOT crash the server. All weapons submitted as such will immediately be rejected.
-Submissions must be made by PM. Concepts by post are fine.

Other than that, do whatever you want!

Power up! Fizz Cannon!

Replaces: Bubble Lead

Color Scheme: Brown and White.
Damage: Has two damages values, if this can work. 34 and 2.
Hud: Buster
Concept: Launches a pipe bomb filled with soda. It's effected by gravity in a sense that it launches like napalm bomb but a little farther out. Direct Hit deals 34 damage, which is a third of the opponent's health.

If the soda bomb hits the floor, it breaks and leaves behind a soda puddle. Stepping in it deals 2 ripper damage until you get off of it. The puddle is overall the size of a Megaman.


If there's any tweaks I need to make to it, let me know.

Replaces Silver Tomahawk

Fires a slow moving jet-propelled bone upwards in an arc

Same colourscheme as Magnet or Drill

Fires very fast, but the arc is very steep

24 damage per bone

I suggest to make the weapon it replaces optional, but whatever

I'll work on this thing before submit buckshotman in the Cutstuff robot masters thing.
Name: Plasma shotgun (the weapon you get if you defeat Buckshot Man)
Colors: Orange and yellow
HUD General Appearance: Buster
Weapon it Replaces:Air shooter
Concept: Shots plasma particles. Some of them are bigger but can bounce off walls, though they break in smaller (and very weak) particles when they do that or if the distance is too big. These projectiles use quick boomerang's damage type so they don't stun too much.
In other words, it works like a flak cannon (http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Flak_Cannon) from Unreal, but not as OP. =P

Also

Name: Painis cannon Rocket Launcher (It could have another original name).
Colors: Brown and light brown
HUD General Appearance:

Plasma Shotgun is ACCEPTED.

Unfortunately, Lego made a bunch of weapons which cause you to jump from their explosions, so the second weapon is REJECTED.

Weapon Get! Frost Fangs Because Ice Fangs and Blizzard Fangs is too unoriginal

Color Scheme: Blue and Sky Blue

Hud: MegaHand

Weapon Replace: Ice Slasher

Concept: When fired, it releases two sets of icy fangs: one from the top, and one from the bottom. As they go further, they start to close in on each other. When they collide, they asplode into small, non-threatening, fragments. The HUD is timed so that, when the fangs asplode, the hand will clench into a fist. Due to the slight complication of this wep, it can only fire foward and cannot be aimed.

Damage Output: 15 with +RIPPER.

To balance, will have high ammo consumption. (May nerf to 10 or 8 if needed)

Concept: The BFG9000 from Doom "adapted by Dr. Wily" :mrgreen: (the origianl weapon code is in the ZDoom wiki (http://zdoom.org/wiki/BFG9000))

I like this one. It should be somewhat short range though, even low ammo and homing don't compensate for half damage. Otherwise, APPROVED.

Sends both you and anyone you hit up into the air.
Last kick sends opponents down.
Connecting all 3 kicks generally kills.
Not kind on ammo.
Can reach high places.

As for FCx, first weapon is REJECTED. Second one I do like though, so APPROVED!

As for Mr. X, I personally think it should travel in a straight line, but otherwise, APPROVED.

As for Jax... wow, that is a pretty cool idea. APPROVING!

ANNOUNCEMENT: At the rate I'm getting weapons, there will be too many weapons to replace the ingame weapons. So, do not worry about replacements.

Also, if you want to make items, you can do that too.

Wasn't expecting that many of mine approved.  I'm questionable to Root Lancer's approval, it was high damage not half. Also Heat Heel isn't a melee attack, it shoots the attack, but its lack luster anyway.

Also thank you Gummy, thats also the drop for my CSCC class to it will get that done for that expansion.  I'll look into trying to make weapons to see about making some myself.

Okay, I've had something in mind for a while, so here it is:

Name: Sentry Missile (Replaces Dive Missile)
Colors: Dark Blue and White

Function: It fires a slow moving rocket that goes in a straight line once fired. During that time, if it detects a player, it launches rather quickly towards that player for 30 damage. It has 5 uses, and 100 ammo. That means that it uses 20 per Sentry Missile, and it's kind of difficult to get ammo for it unless you have W Tanks. For this reason, it's recommended to place this weapon in a map designed around it to have control over how many W Tanks there should be and where. Additionally, it has a very slow rate of fire.

Once you fire a Sentry Missile, you must wait 5 seconds to fire another or to switch to a weapon. This is best used with prediction. After a while of traveling though, it will dissapear. This can be adjusted accordingly.

Well, might as well give this a try.

Name: Rebound Laser
Colors: Not entirely sure, perhaps purple on blue or visa versa
HUD General Appearance: Probably just a mega buster recolored.
Weapon it Replaces: Noise Crush
Concept: Fires a weak slow moving laser (about 10 damage). Upon hitting a wall, it bounces off the wall gaining speed and power (becomes a 20 or 25 damage). Essentially a weapon designed around indirect fire.

Name: Lightnin' Chain
Colors: Thunder Beam color
HUD General Appearance: Standard Mega Buster HUD
Weapon it Replaces: Thunder Beam, Spark Shock, Magnet Missile, or Thunder Bolt
Concept: Fires a very fast projectile (Think Sliver Tomahawk) with fast RoF (Think Flame Blast) that does 14 damage (8HKO) and has limited range before it dissipates. If the first shot hits a target, it’ll find a target that’s closest to the first target and try to hit the second target. Afterwards, the bolt will repeat and hit up to 5 targets in total. The bolt will never “bounce” on one target twice in the same chain.

Concept: Create a weapon that can set up combos similar to Spark Shock
Idea: On the ground, it fires a large homing projectile that pulls enemies towards the one who fired the projectile. In the air, it fires a large homing projectile that pushes enemies away from the one who fired the projectile.
Damage: 10
Ammo usage: 2 out of 28

Weapon: Pimp Slap
Colors: Purple (like ballade) with white
HUD: Exactly like Slash Claw, except with different colors
Weapons it replaces: Top Spin or Slash Claw
Concept: Create a close range weapon that acts as the perfect discouragement against opponents.
Idea: Anyone that stands right in front of you gets pimp slapped and suffers 70 damage. However, they are also pushed away from you; at least 512 pixels (Think of the magnet push). Rate of fire is 1 pimp slap every 2.5 seconds and each pimp slap costs 1/8 of your ammo. It refills ammo at a rate similar to Hard Knuckle.
Death Message: "X just pimp slapped the FUNK out of Y!"

Well, the damage and all of the other numbers can be adjusted. The general idea is that the Sentry Missile moves slowly, then launches to a visible player for good damage, but high ammo consumption.

Heh, it could even be named Sentry Torpedo instead... fancier name... :p

Actually, you should reject Knux's idea. No offense or anything, it's just that's how The MM8 Expansion's Homing Sniper works. Fires a missile (chargeable up to 5), it travels slowly, when it finds a target it redirects towards the target and moves very quickly, but can no longer redirect itself.

Well, Sentry Missile does home in. Sorry I didn't make myself clear, but I thought it would be obvious from it being a Dive Missile replacement. Plus, it's a lot of damage in one projectile, not multiple missiles for all of the damage, with slow ROF.

So it does continue to home in after it finds a target? My bad. You made it sound like the Homing Sniper in the future expansion which only redirects itself once as it finds a target. None the less, it still seems fairly similar to Homing Sniper, ultimately it's HD's call.

Yeah, it's fairly similar. If anything though, I still have other weapon ideas, so it's good.

EDIT: For instance...

Name: Mud Tracker
Colors: Dark Brown and Dark Red
Weapon Replaced: Water Wave or another floor hugging weapon.

Description:

Mud Tracker fires a sphere of mud that rolls on the floor at decent but not great speed, scattering small puddles of mud. Anyone stepping on the puddles will take 5 damage and will walk as if on ice for 6 seconds seconds. When the projectile hits a wall, it scatters a bit more mud puddles and disappears. If a player gets hit by the projectile itself, they take 40 damage, their running is as if walking on ice for 12 seconds and their vision is a bit clouded with a brownish color.

This weapon is mostly utility and shouldn't be used to frag someone. This is because it has 60 ammo and uses 20 per shot, plus it has a rate of fire of one shot every 3 seconds, which prevents spam.

The amount of puddles scattered and anything else can be adjusted as long as it doesn't stray away from the main idea of the weapon.

I have other ideas, but maybe later...

Name: Power Stone
Colors: randomly spawns as red, blue, or yellow
HUD General Appearance: none
Item it Replaces?: Tango Roll or E-Tank
Concept: gradual powerup that rewards survivability with the new weapons

Power Stones periodically spawn onto the map in place of other item pickups such as Tango Roll or E-Tanks. Picking up one by itself isn't going to do much of anything besides sit around in your inventory, and when you pick up the second one it doesn't seem like it will do much, either. However, if you manage to acquire three Power Stones, a second ammo bar will temporarily appear on your HUD and you will enter Power Drive. Think of Power Drive like a slightly-modified Terminator bonus. All weapons will gain an increase of power, whether it's projectile speed, attack damage, or rate of fire. Weapons still use ammo, so you can't get TOO excited, and after a period of time Power Drive will expire and revert you back to normal.

For this to work, all the weapon modders will have to add some sort of "PowerFire" state that fires the upgraded projectiles as well as a jump command that skips to PowerDrive if the player is holding a certain flag like "PowerDrive" or something.

Agh, I don't have time to approve/reject anything, but Sentry Missle will remain approved unless, when 3a is released, I find that it IS too similar to Homing Sniper.

Also, quickly APPROVING SaviorSword's because that's all I have time for.

Name:Chameleon Chain MK2
Colour:Red and Green
Replaces Knight Crush
HUD:Buster
Concept:Shoots a red ball that travels in a Rolling Cutter range. If it hits an item, you will take it immediately. If Weapon Stay is on, you will only grab the weapon. If it hits a wall, It will pull the player towards it. If it hits a damaging object, it will turn to a shield that deals damage itself.

What are you talking about? This totally isn't a slightly modified Gemini Laser + TF2 Detonator Cross!

Here's what I would have submitted:

Name: Silk Shot
Replaces: Dust Crusher
HUD: Buster
Colours: Same as Silk Shot from MMX2 (Orange and green IIRC)
Concept: Fires a heap of junk that is fired upwards and quickly falls to the ground. Upon contact with something, it splits into 4 smaller pieces that do much less damage. HOWEVER, depending on the map, the junk changes. If it is a rocky map, you fire a rock instead that bounces once when colliding with walls and floors. If it's a forest/leafy map, it fires a bunch of leaves that float upwards before falling apart. If it's a crystal-ly map, you fire a crystal that's like the junk only it bounces lots of times.

But yeah, you said you didn't want to use too many weapons from other games so meh

I was going to make this weapon for personal use anyway.

Colors: Purple and Dark Gray

HUD: MegaHand

Weapon Replace: Danger Wrap

Concept: Fires a large, slow-moving bubble in-front, left, right, and behind the player. Each bubble contains a bomb and can bounce off walls. When some time passes, instead of self-dentonating, each of the remaining bubbles will split into two smaller ones, one of the two carrying the bomb. After more time passes, the bubbles will pop and any un-dentonated bombs will drop to the floor in regular Danger Wrap fashion, but will just disappear instead of dentonating when it idles for too long.

Large Miracle Bomb: Moderate damage (30)
Small Miracle Bomb: Low/Moderate damage (20)
Small Miracle Bomb w/o bomb: Low damage (10)

Ammo Consumption: 4 Uses.

Okay, I am not quite in the mood to trawl this topic for the large number of weapon ideas abound, so apologies in advance if people have already suggested similar things. Replace whatever weapons you feel suitable.

Blood Cannon
Function: Fires a relatively fast projectile of red liquid that, when hitting a target, deals damage to him/her equal to half his current health. This means that while this weapon can reduce the health of your opponent rather quickly, it can never kill on its own. Below average rate of fire.
Colors: Brown and red.
HUD General Appearance: Buster

Armory Scrambler
Function: Explosive weapon à la Ballade Cracker that does relatively little damage. However, in addition to the damage it deals, it will also destroy a fixed amount of ammo of the target's active weapon. A great help in neutralizing weapons with low maximum ammo counts, but it's rather ineffective against weapons with large ammo capacities.
Colors: Blue and yellow.
HUD General Appearance: Buster

This isn't one of the ideas in store that I mentioned earlier, but it did come to mind:

Name: Brigade Barrier
Weapon Replaced: Junk Shield
Colors: Yellow and Black

Description:

Brigade Barrier creates three small robot units around you that are static, but follow you everywhere until you call them off. When you get hit while this is activated, damage is halved and one of the robot units will fire a shot so fast that it can't be seen. Think of it as the same as having a Reflection Rune and an Armor in Skulltag at the same time. When called off, the robot units simply dissapear. Just remember that both activating this weapon and taking hits will deplete the ammo bar. You should be especially careful with ripping weapons, because even if your enemy will take damage too, the damage done to you isn't negated as well as other non-ripping weapons for obvious reasons. Getting up close to an enemy with this won't do damage, but it sure might discourage attacking.

As for how much ammo it has and how much is consumed when the barrier is activated or when you take a hit, that can be adjusted to balance things out. I have no idea how much it should have.

Actually, I just thought even with little ammo, it could be cheap. Therefore, how about making it so that the player can't move while using it? It would make more justice to the name too. :p

As far as I can see, there's 32 weapons that are accepted at the moment.
Since these weapons will be replacin' all the core weapons, the core weapon amount "limit" is 62 (includes all 4 busters and Time Stopper). So that's just somethin' to think about. So ya may want to stop at 57 or 58 if ya want, but definitely, yar limited to 62. Since this project's purpose is to replace'em all.

Here's a weapon I started to work on. It's based directly off brotoad's megaman sprite comic

Name: Basket Ball
Colours: Orangey brown and orange. Typical basketball colours
Hud: Hand and foot.
Concept: Upon firing, you drop a basketball in front of you. After a short amount of time, you then kick it forwards. The basketball will then bounce around the map at high speeds really a lot, as well as bouncing on enemies and doing 20 damage per hit to them. If the basketball get hit by cutter attacks too much it dies.
Obituary "victim choked on player's basket ball"
Weapon to replace: It would have replaced Crystal eye but no.

I'll code it.

If you accept I'll even throw in some basketball pasta as an item or something

Oh, well it wasn't inspired by Mega ball at all. Just brotoad's sprite comic and me deciding that the ball should be kicked instead of thrown.

Don't think it'll be the exact same. Mine will be effected by gravity and will bounce around like crazy, along with some other stuff. It's not meant to be Mega ball at all.

This is exactly what it sounds like. When this weapon is equipped, you will be forced to stand still. Press the Fire key to launch forward. Each time you do, you gradually slow down to a halt, and you will bounce off walls should you hit them. When an enemy is hit, they get knocked back and receive 20 damage, and you grind to a halt. This covers more distance than Charge Kick, however it's also more difficult to maneuver. You can keep pressing fire to gain more speed (which caps at a point), but the damage will stay the same.

It has 28 ammo and consumes 4 ammo for each use. This weapon works best in the more open areas with no pits and plenty of walls.

So hard for me to submit weapons here. Weapon making is what I enjoy doing here and y'know. Lemme think....

Name: Thunder Rail
Colours: Bright orange and bright yellow or purple and bright purple/yellow.
HUD: Standard hud, possibly with a few decorations on it or something.
Concept: Must stand still when firing. When firing (by holding down), you launch several rings full of electric sparks, ripping through enemies and creating load thunderous noises. It does light damage, but stunlocks, and if they escape the blast, they will still be receiving poison damage. When running around during this poison damage, they will emit decorative sparks as if they have been electrocuted. This weapon can be deadly if mastered, but if not, your enemies will have an easy time avoiding you.

...well, Ice ball is coded but I came to a conclusion, do we really want bots with infinite ammo and people with E tanks spamming this thing? I made a newer version

I suggest that the spikes be vulnerable to fire weapons. Using a fire weapon (or maybe a break weapon?) would destroy the spikes much earlier than waiting for them to fade or someone touching them.

Alternatively, the attack could temporarily lock the user's movement while it shoots six flames outward in a circular shape. What I mean is, the player stops moving, then six flames are spawned in a circular shield effect, then the player regains movement just as the flames all shoot outward in a sort of hexagonal "spread".

It would be a lot more unique, to say the least.

I got an idea:

Name:Core Spinner
Colors: Yellow/White (Red/Orange)
HUD: 2 Busters
Concept:Basically, it fires 3 lightning projectiles (can also be fire), 1 in the center and 2 next to it. The ones to the sides spin around the center one, and dissapear on hit (only one, not all 3). The center one (Core) does more damage, but causes all three projectiles to dissapear on hit.
Damage:
10 (Orbiting ones)
25 (Core)

The red one will stun enemies in place, setting them on fire as they slowly take damage. They'll flash dark red. The blue one freezes them in place, doing little damage but allowing you to strike them with another attack that you have. The yellow one is a generic damaging attack. You shoot one at a time instead of four, and when you do so, it stays in front of you for a second before flying towards the nearest player, pausing, then chasing them again. RoF is about 2-3 seconds. Ammo is about 2-3 units per use.

Problem is, making projectiles do that Wily Capsule thing that the boss does is REAL tricky, so I might not be able to code this one.

Concept:It will bounce like Napalm Bomb. When it explodes, it will shoot four small green lasers in a cross direction. The explosion itself will blind the enemy.

Concept:Yet another buster upgrade... This one is chargeable and costs weapon energy. No weapon energy used when uncharged, but when charged, it will use weapon energy and fire a spread shot.

Concept:An unoriginal idea. This is set up just to show sympathy to uncharged Atomic Fire. You cannot charge this weapon.

I already pre-coded Frost Fangs for a class I wanted to do, which was scrapped (the class, that is). Just gotta pack it into a single .wad and I can send it over. I'll code Miracle Bomb on my own as well.

HUD: hand with with wires coming out of it.
 Well, what it generally does when the power bar is charged up, it will send you flying far and moderatly high. When flying through the air, you see blue rings, striking a resemblelance to Noise Chrusher's, follow you.
To use it, you have to wait about one minute to fully charge up.
Plus, it hurts opponents.

Roulette Buster

HUD: buster with a small monitor

The Roulette Buster is an optional upgrade for the Mega Buster, usable via pickup item (similar to the Proto / Bass Busters or Super Adaptor). This buster features random attack properties and is great for experienced players looking to test their luck. Press Fire repeatedly to shoot standard buster shots, and charge to start a roulette wheel visible on the weapon. Release a charge shot to stop the wheel and launch an attack with various effects:

Mega Man - A 50-damage charge that can "continue" when fragging.
Proto Man - A lightning-fast 30-damage snipe.
Bass - A flurry of weak spreading bullets, good for locking an area down.
Roll - This attack only deals 10 damage... but it drains the target's ammo!
Bomb - This shot explodes on contact and deals splash damage.
Targeting Reticule - That looks like a homing shot!

Trine is a mid-to-long-range attack that locks onto enemies but deals low damage, and is a very effective finishing move on a fleeing enemy or a target with low health. When Trine is used, an invisible non-damaging projectile is launched that will home in on an enemy player. If a target is hit, three triangles are spawned away from the target - one directly in front, two behind the target at 60-degree angles. These triangles will spin and spawn new triangles closer to the enemy, and those triangles will spawn new triangles in front, until a sort of "beam" of triangles is formed. These three beams will converge at the original lock-on point, then cross and continue to spread until they reach opposite points of the circle they started on.

Trine has six uses with a full ammo bar, and it will leave some weapons energy as a remainder. The weapon is slightly slow-filling, and the triangles are short-lived one-damage rippers that are more of an annoyance than an actual threat. It is possible to "combo hit" an enemy if they are attacked at the point of convergence (as they could be receiving ripping damage from up to six triangles!), though this is usually difficult to accomplish against moving targets.

Other than bein' super flashy, doesn't this kinda remind ya of Dive Missile, except with an invisible projectile?

Trine has a wider effective attack radius and can hit multiple targets in the same area. It's also more powerful. However, it's a little trickier to land hits with, and it eats ammo like there's no tomorrow. On the subject of ammo, Trine also doesn't use any ammo unless it confirms a "lock" on the target.

I guess I didn't sufficiently explain this. Smash Upper can only be used on the ground and moves the player UPWARD whereas Top Spin can only be used in air and moves the player towards the ground. Smash Upper is also an uppercut as the name and description imply, meaning it launches players who are hit by it straight towards the nearest ceiling / skybox. Oh, it's also on FIRE.

Huh... I suppose it does. I was going for an alternative to Skull Barrier personally, because unless you land a direct hit StoneBod's "attack" is virtually nonexistent.

To put it in easier to understand words, Savior, his last weapon is a shield-weapon-esque thing that gives you Anchor Feet when active and does no damage. The Obituary is obligatory, like Plant Barrier's. Think Mirror Buster except it turns you into a Jitterskull instead of making you immortal.

It has a radioactive aura that constantly deals damage to anyone who gets close, so it is useful for defending cramped areas.

Concept:Shoots a short range data cable that latches onto a nearby opponent. You must stay close or the cable will break. When that fills up, and you alt-click while attached to an enemy, it will upload a virus into their system that kills them after a few seconds.

It only ever pulls them towards you, so that might be hard. Still possible if used well.

I have another weapon idea that could work

Name: smoke bomb
Color: Dark grey and white
Hud: Hand holding the bomb
Fires a smoke bomb, when it hits the ground, it releases clouds of smoke (v1a classes shadowman, or in mmbc) and each cloud has a small weak aoe that deals damage to anyone in the smoke. each cloud lasts for 3-5 seconds

Concept - You know how you can rub your feet along a carpet to charge up a spark to shock someone? Okay, now think of using it as a saboteur-type weapon. This weapon acts like a close-ranged Spark Shock that stuns enemies up close. To keep from being abused, the weapon will take much longer to "recover."

These weapons, as well as Miracle Bomb, have been coded and are ready to send. I've also made a change to Frost Fangs to make possible to aim with, yay.

Name: Agile slash
Colours: Bright purple and brighter purple
HUD: Hand. Red beam sword while attacking.
Concept: Quickly slashes the sword to the left, creating a huge wave to fly forward. This is very big and fast, making it hard to avoid, but it has low fire rate and does little damage. It's also a ripper.

These are all based off the attacks that the X-Hunters use from Megaman X2. They are not weapons you get from them, so it's not exactly 'a weapon from another MM game'.
