What if the Zombis Had Abilities?

What if those of which have Roboenza had certain abilities...
They wouldn't consume any type of ammo, just your remaining time alive.
My Suggestions are being able to run, some type of ranged attack, and a charge(I guess this could be mixed with the run anyway)...

If certain nerfs, buffs and conditions were meet, then I'd see no problem with it.

If you were given a random ability, people would suicide if they got a bad one. Enough of that goes on already.

I have an idea for that.
The abilities could consume remaining time as well as other effects.
The run thing would make the zombi move 1.4 times its normal speed.
                Lose 15 on startup then 10 every second
The ranged attack would take .33% of the zombi's maximum health and It would be blocked from doing so if there isnt enough left. It would be an attack with range similar to the star crash and would rise up in the front.
                Lose 40 seconds
The charge would make the zombi move around 3-4 times as fast but in one direction, and it wont flinch, all non infected are infected on contact and all infected are nudged out of the way the zombi would also take 3x as much damage while doing so.
                Lose 20 seconds on start up then 10 every second

Yes please. Zombis are always under powered when the survivors have certain weapons (Crash bombs, Water wave, Star Crash ;just some examples) and I say it should be easy for a zombi to infect a survivor just as easy as it is for a survivor to kill a zombi.

Please. Anyone who think infected are so under powered they need abilities really needs a reality check. The only real threat to infected are campers on top of pillars with Star Crash/Fire Storm.
You have problem with Water Wave? Jump or run backwards.
Crash Bomb? Run backwards.
Any other spamable weapon? Run backwards!

Even if they consumed more time, any new infect can abuse it instantly. Ranged attacks are out of the question as well. What do you want them to do? Make the non infected take damage? They're 'invincible' so the weapon would be pointless, and if it infects on impact, that instantly becomes OP.

This is about as even as it's going to get.

I was always of the opinion that zombies just had too much damn life.  It makes far more sense to run away than to fight unless you had specific weapons.  I was always thinking give zombies a slight speed boost (maybe 10-20% more than normal players) and then cut their life to about double a normal player rather than like, what, 10x for the starting zombie? Being slow with a melee attack is a pain in the ass unless you have numbers.  Once you have a lot of zombies then the surviving player has no chance at all unless they abuse geometry or specific weapons.  Just my 2 cents.

From Rawk Hawk's post, most people need a reality check as they feel unpowered when survivors get certain weapons and no one walks backwards.

I think the zombies should have only the speed boost, and maybe a little more range on their attack.

I mean, I have to be directly touching somebody to infect them. and sometimes that doesn't even work.

Not to mention that zombies are slower than normal players, so they need the speed boost. But don't make it lose so much of their time.

Instead have a run meter that regenerates when not in use, and you go slower after using it until it's about 1/4 charged.

15 seconds to use the run. That's nearly 1/6 of your time. Doesn't sound like much, correct? Every second you use it, 10 more. If you use it for more than 4 seconds, you die.
OR if you use it several times, you run out faster.

Aww... Some of those were hurtful...
I guess the truth hurts then....
I was thinking since the zombies are about to die we use their remaining time instead of some other energy source..
Can we try to come to terms at least the run... Or make it to where only the first zombie has these abilities...?

You cant spam it for less time... And it would only be used to catch up or to catch someone who is distracted before it is too late... Never for a full on rush, that would be the charge's problem... The ranged attack would be just to infect those above and in front of you... with high cost for a miss...

My only complaint is the range zombies seem to have when standing still.  It should be consistent with the range the zombies have while in motion. It seems like I get so many BS infects from a zombie that's AT LEAST a couple meters away.
