Lego's projects topic MM 8-10 Weapons v2d
«

I am making this topic for all of my projects, I think it would be easier to create this topic for my projects that take place in the weapons topic, seeing how ignored that topic is.
Megaman 8-10 weapons pack
download v2d here
.
The point of this pack is "Hey! I made the weapons from Megaman 8, 9, and 10!" In order for someone to play with these weapons without use of cheats, LMS or Eddie; I made the weapons replace other weapons that are already in the base pk3.
v3a changes:
NOTE: I will not release the newest version until 8BDM v3a comes out
(spoilered for space)
(click to show/hide)
Added MM8's charge busters
Fixed buckshot problems with NoiseCrush and WildCoil
Nerfed WheelCutter's ridiculus launch into the air
Added previously replaced weapons into the Buckshot rotation
Added Triple Blade and MagmaBazooka to LMS, forgot these the first time around
Removed the sprite fixes for WildCoil and NoiseCrush
Added MegaBall to LMS, Eddie, and Buckshot
Fixed Wild Coil ammo issues
Finished thunderclaw, it now properly extend and retracts
Fixed JewelSatellie's reflective problems
Made it to where you can swap weapons after using TornadoBlow (I might regret this)
Attempted to Fix certain sounds while playing on servers
Attempted to make rebound striker bounce better when switching into the more powerful form
Added a Ceiling setup for Plug Ball & enabled spreadrune for it
Thunder Wool now spits up more bolts at a higher rate
Made Wheel Cutter and FlameSword semi-aimable
Made MegaKick visible
Removed ThunderWool's paralysis effect
added visual colors on the HUD when frozen by Chill Spike/Concrete shot
added Dynamic Lights to Flash Bomb (Open GL only)
added Vertical trails to Commando Bomb's wall explosion.
changed the turning code on CommandoBomb, now relies on the direction you are moving (Down if standing still)
Tornado BLow no longer changes gravity of the player
Ice Wave will no longer get stuck on Reflective shields like that of darkman, or, more importantly, Jewel Satellite
Tripled the amount of Astro Crush spawns, also enabled spreadrune for it
Buffed the ammo amount for Water Balloon, nerfed the stun slightly
Junk Shield now goes back to vertical, it acts like Jewel Satellite, but not exactly like it, if you ram/hug someone with it,
it takes ammo away.
Danger Wrap made to be more like the original
9-10 Overhaul
Removed Megaman 8 weapons for obvious reasons
Removed All MM7 Weapon fixes, contrary to the above changelog
Fixed BHB's broken sounds (hopefully)
Compatability with 8BDM v3a (will require waiting a bit...)
Now for the main thing; Should Jewel Satellite hug or no?
(vote up for this)

These are pretty good! I like most, if not all of them, as they have new concepts that are different from most weapons in this game, such as Water Shield and Wheel Cutter. They aren't terribly broken either, which is a plus! So all in all, pretty great!

The only complain I have is that commando bomb must have only 2 waves instead of 4. The other weapons are fine
Good work there, I truly appreciate this. Also, I think Messatsu is planning to add these weapons in another rage roboenza wad, which is another plus!

The patches work by putting EVERYTHING you want to have in BEFORE the patch, then then you put in the patch correlating to what you put in
Example:
Code:
[Select]
MM8-10.pk3 MMPU.pk3 MMVWII.pk3 MMV-P-8-10Patch.pk3

I know it's a nice bump. It's only so nice because I was the one who bumped it.
In all honesty though, I'm using the weapons' code for new Battle Chips and Navi attacks. Lego gave me permission. He failed to add any sort of read me or tutorial though, so for a few weapons I was a bit confused as to their particular uses.
Took me forever to figure out Water Shield was just an HP-based Skull Barrier.

It's not HP-Based, it's Hit Based. If you get hit 8 times, you need to put up Water Shield again.
I personally think it's OP, but hey.

Fast weapons tear it to shreds at least. Plus it decays over time.
