[confusion] Thunder Bolt's icon

this happened several times while I was streaming so I have witnesses to back me up on this


but I really don't like Thunder Bolt's new icon.

It's not the fact that I think it looks bad or weird or that I'm not used to it, it's that it looks entirely too similar to other icons. I'll often mistake it for Plug Ball, only to notice the yellow and blue on it when I'm like three inches in front of it. It doesn't even look anything like Thunder Bolt. Hell, at one point when I was on MM7CLO I thought it was Wind Storm. Apparently there are others who share this sentiment, and clarity isn't something to take lightly. Even if it was just colored more obviously or made bigger or something, please change Thunder Bolt's icon to be more obvious as to what it is.

Seeing as the icon comes from Megaman 7 with very minor editing so it's not tiny, I don't feel like the "doesn't look anything like Thunder Bolt" argument has any weight to it whatsoever.
That being said, assuming this isn't something that just needs time to adjust to, I'm alright with changing the icon slightly to provide more clarity.
Your examples confuse me, though. Plug Ball's icon is mostly pink. I'm not sure I'm seeing how it can be confused for Thunder Bolt?

I also thought it was Plug Ball when I first saw it. Plus, what was wrong with the old icon?

Nothing was particularly "wrong" with it, we just modified the 7 Icons so that they were more accurate to MM7 instead of RM7FC.
There are a few more assets from 7FC that arguably still need changing, such as Freeze Cracker's projectile, but I'm not sure if we've decided to change those yet.

I've never been confused by it, myself. I've always been able to easily identify it as Thunder Bolt and not Plug Ball because Plug Ball is more of a scribble while Thunder Bolt is more deliberate.

And it's also very, very pink.

I never ran into this issue myself personally, but I can see where you're coming from.

I don't see the mix up.

Top Thunder Bolt and Plug Ball are straight out of core. Bottom Thunder Bolt is simply a comparison of using Mega's TB colors in place of what is used in the icon (I did this with a the rest of 7's, 8's, and &B's also but this is about Thunder Bolt)

I was confused when I first played the map. You also need to remember not everyone has played Mega Man 9 or any Mega Man game in general and doesn't automatically know that plug ball is pink.

I always get confused with thunder bolt, I don't know if I confuse with spark shock, or I just confuse with the icon alone, but I think that's the cause of this is, the icon is too big, and all in it has a small place in comparison to the rest, so it's very confusing.
