I'm still calling derp here. Why not just add 'em into the game once they're released and balance-checked? It would do far more justice to the efforts of those who are making these expansions.

And when things come to Roboenza, there aren't actually that many extra .wads in the market yet, thus it is still rather easy to use it.. but imagine things when there are like 10+ super cool .wads that everyone uses randomly. How the heck are we supposed to know which one to add into the game?

I do not wish to sound like a doomsayer, but here's predicting we're gonna find ourselves constantly rebooting MM8BDM, desperately trying to find the right .wad; or just playing servers that don't have extra .wads in them because of all the hassle they create.

However, if adding these expansions into the game is out of the question because of technical difficulties, then I understand.

mike only has interest in adding the skins and weapons to the official game  but that shouldn't stop you from making the stages, however black and white they may be!

I personally say if you are going to make the maps you should think of fitting colours.

Because it's going to be added altogether in one big pack at the end.

Indeed, but I don't think it would be fair justice to all mike's work to be @#$%-talked for not making his creation an entirely open-source type effort either

I'm going to rip them as they are and then post them here.  After that, people can throw ideas for color around.  I'll find some NES palettes and then color it after getting some input and repost it.  That way, we'll have the B&W tileset and a color one.  Either could be used.

I actually think it would be pretty cool to play them in B&W.  All retro style.

And here it is.  Mars' GB tileset:

Let's discuss how much I cheated to do this.  All previous tilesets were done in 16x16 pixel tiles.  This worked out because that was what Cutmanmike was using before and the NES worked with 8x8s.  Game Boy doesn't do 8x8, so 16x16 doesn't quite work.  I had to erase certain parts of the tiles so they would line up.  I widened other tiles as well.  So what you see above is 16x16, but I had to edit a lot of stuff to make them work like that.

I can keep doing it like this or make smaller, acutal sized tiles.  I'm not mapper, so I don't know how that would affect anything.

I think it works better they way you're doing it.  Thanks!  Now, for colors.  Personally, I think they should be colored, but perhaps a poll is in order.

Yeah, the GameBoy wasn't in true Black & White.  It was closer to Brown & Yellow-ish green.
