I feel that, if you ban MMWTDW1 for taking too long to duel in, it is only fair to ban MM3DW1 as well. There is literally nothing to counter mirror buster there, and, in the tournament environment especially, I am sure many would not hesitate to mirror buster all day. Of course, this is only the logical thing to do given the threat of the opponent doing the same.

You heard it here first, folks. We need to ban all maps with centralizing weapons.

I think you fail to see the point Killer Nacho is making. MM3DW1 forces you to use Mirror Buster if the other player is using it or you can't win. And Mirror Buster is an extremely hax-filled weapon with Hard Knuckle mixed in there and on top of that the map itself is small making health more competitive. You can still beat players using Ring Boomerang with other weapons though and even if it's R. Boomerang against R. Boomerang it's not nearly as hax-filled. Personally, I find this very similar to MM6WIN's case where it forces you to use Leaf Shield.

Fyone, MM3DW1 makes Mirror Buster hacky because of Search Snake.

Just ask KD about it.

Search Snake is not the only reason, I've had many duels there where Search Snake wasn't even touched. It's usually Hard Knuckle/Mirror Buster/Bass Buster spam. I do know the trick you're talking about though.

The Duel Item Patch has been updated! You can grab it here.

Check here for the changelog. Or below.

-- Mobility items that have been removed are replaced on maps by lesser mobility items.
-- Reggae removed
-- Skull Barrier removed
-- Plant Barrier causes users to take x1.3 damage while the shield is up.
I hope the competitors in this tournament will agree with that final change. The weapon is still usable, it is just now easier to outdamage a Plant Barrier user. If there is overwhelming negative reaction to this change from tournament participants, I will act. Otherwise, adjust your strategies!

On the subject of MM3DW1, I will make that map open only to mutual agreement.

Finally, since this tournament offers no medals, I hope no one will mind....

In-Game Names: King Dumb, Villain, Colorless
Ways to Contact: Cutmail, Skype (k1ngdumb)
Time Zone: EST (UTC-05:00)
Location: Ohio
General Times Available: All day until August 23rd. Unavailable August 1st-4th.

EDIT: Also, as far as servers go. MM8BDM Duel Arena has a fraglimit of 10, Dojo has remained at 5 for now. Contact me or Michael if you need a fraglimit change on the Dojo. Otherwise, Dojo will be left for more casual duels.

And you all still have about 7 hours to sign up for tournament!

EDIT2: Grab v4a-3 if you haven't. Made one oversight in v4a-2.

Alright, after a couple hours of testing with Michael and help from Lego, the Plant Barrier damage increase desync has been -hopefully- resolved. Remember kids, don't put spaces in between actor definitions.

Grab it here! Same changelog, only no annoying purple color.

EDIT: I will be absent when the signup deadline arrives. Any one signed up after 11:59 PM EST will not be included in the tournament. The bracket will be made overnight, and available tomorrow!

It's time to Duel! Check the front post to find your opponents.

As always, please post results here, preferably with screenshots and mutual confirmation!

And as always, contestants need to be 100% proactive about getting their matches done. I will try my very best to facilitate things, though I will be gone this weekend, from Friday morning to Monday evening. If issues arise in communicating with your opponents please let me know via PM or Skype so we can stay on top of everything.
