Boss music code
« on: October 19, 2016, 12:36:29 AM »
Which file in the MM8BDMV5A-PK3 is supposed to be the MM1 boss theme and MMPU (Powered Up) theme? Because I want to know if I can put everything with MMPU boss theme (I'm not sure if I can do this or I necessairly need to do a mod).

Those files... Are they supposed to be in the root of MM8BDMV5a-pk3 or inside another folder?

They're stored in a file named "musics.wad" in the pk3. You can open it in SLADE like any other folder.

If you're asking me how to replace music though, then I have no idea how to. I once tried and failed to make and MP3 to MIDI music pack, heh.

Save it as a pk3 instead of a wad.

What would it change if I do so? I've done it in a form of mod in the .wad form.

YD used "MM4BOSS.nsf" to replace the mm4 boss theme. It did confuse a few people, I think, but is alright otherwise, so it possibly WOULDN'T matter to other people,as long as the music has the right name, but I DO NOT think making a WAD of a music replacement might be good either.Did it work?

It did, but for what I remember it lagged a little bit, but I did a pk3 that has the music.wad in it.
