Title: Megaman 5 Gameboy?
Post by: Dokta_Whawee on January 26, 2016, 11:09:16 PM
I know what some may be thinking: "All the Gameboy games are remasterings of the of the originals, so we don't need to program the levels in..." And, while that is correct, the 5th game featured a 10 new bosses, a ton of new levels, and in my opinion, a lot of potential for a last game update. And, since it is on the Gameboy, the level themes wouldn't be on par with all the others, but you have gotten people to do remixes spicificaly for you. It would be so cool to have Sunstar be the boss to end all bosses in this game! To be honest, I don't think we need Mega man x based maps...

So, do any of you agree? :p

MMV has been slated to be v7 for a little while now, so no worries about that.

Oh, so V is going to be the last one added in? I thought it was going to be 10.

But yea MM10 is V6 and MMV is V7. No further expansions are planned unless we have a need to go back and fix a previous expansion, although with careful planning this shouldn't be the case.

Wasn't this confirmed for like, a while now? Like right after 8's release?

Except for Gemini Man, Ring Man, Star Man, Astro Man, and Galaxy Man...
And Mega Man, Bass, Proto Man, Rush, Eddie...

Way to ruin the joke nerd >_>

Those robots are from the same planet where V's are from different planets.
I mean it's probably the same thing but it feels different so whatever

I have another future update idea! How about the dos games, and the bosses in "Challengers from the future" as levels "This update would come before the megaman V update.)

I also have an idea for some bosses. First, if this is in fact gonna be the final update, I suggest we have a robot master re-match with all robot masters (Including quint, the evil robot, the megaman killers, the genesis unit, king, and the ones that I mentioned up above), until you fight wily's machine, and then fight sunstar for the final stage.

Any more ideas?

Might I turn your attention into the project W.I.P. subforum? There is currently a new version of the DOS fan expansion underway as a reboot to the one we had been working on for the past few years. Also the head of that project wished to do Challenger after the completion of the new DOS one. As for a more cannon version of the DOS expansion as apposed to the new one using much better fan design of the characters and such, I will be likely working on that personally in my spare time.

As a footnote, it has been confirmed that the DOS games and RM&F2 will not be included as core MM8BDM expansions, likely due to their controversy and radical departure from typical Mega Man fashion.

Alright. But remove all that, I still suggest that the final boss still stands. Also, I want quint as a secret boss in a stage... which one? I don't know.

So is that why the MMV expansion someone was working on halted? Or am I horribly mistaken

That person made like 3 maps in that topic before vanishing. I took up a map JUST to keep him from trying to make them all. But I'm kinda glad cause my map was shit.

I love messing things up.  Point is that all those robots have been to space which counters the "where no robot has gone before" line.

well there is one last area to visit other than Space:  The Lanfront Ruins thanks to the Archie adaptation of Super Adventure Rockman essentially fixing what is the nadir of the entire franchise (I'm not joking, Inafune himself hated the game after it was released).  I could see it as a sort of way to bridge MM10 to MMV, which would work with Ra-Moon contacting the Stardroids upon its demise

I think Mega Man V First in MM8BDM V6.   If because Stardriods have been Gone Beserk by Virus, And Player need to Exporle the Stardriod's Planet to Battle Him.

Chapter 12 (MM8BDM V6, Planned):

-Mecury
-Venus
-Mars
-Jupiter
-Saturn
-Uranus
-Pluto
-Neptune
-Wily Star (Boss: Sunstar/Weakness: Rain Flush)

After defeated Sunstar, Player goes back to Dr. Light Laboratory and Bass asks Player to Defeat the Weapon Archive, And Player decived Adventure with Bass Again.

Chapter 13 (MM8BDM, Planned):

-Blade Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Pump Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Commando Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Chill Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Sheep Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Strike Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Nitro Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Solar Man (Your Ally: Bass)
-Wily Fortress 1 (Your Ally: Bass)
-Wily Fortress 2 (Your Ally: Bass)
-Wily Fortress 3 (Your Ally: Bass)
-Wily Fortress 4 (Your Ally: Bass/Boss: Weapon Archive/Weakness: Rolling Cutter(Elec Man)/Metal Blade(Wood Man)/Shadow Blade(Gemini Man)/Ring Boomerang(Ring Man)/Gravity Hold(Naplam Man)/Wind Storm(Flame Man)/Freeze Cracker(Slash Man)/Flash Bomb(Frost Man)/Ice Wall(Burner Man)/Black Hole Bomb(Torando Man)/Ballade Cracker(Pluto))
-Wily Fortress 6 (This Only Mutiplayer Map Only.)

Ya, I agree the Mega Man V and Mega Man 10 Chapter must be added first in MM8BDM V6 Only.
