Portals are an absolute pain in the ass to do.  OpenGL, it works fine, but 9 out of 10 times, software users just see the hall of mirrors effect.

Believe me, I had a few portal effects in the Ivory Pack. After software issues, only Sand Canyon still uses them I believe.

Would if work if you made a MASSIVE texture with transparent bits then apply a 3D midtex to make it solid?

You'll also have to modify a LOT of the weapons. Especially Air Shooter, it's too shotgunny for a 2D game.

This is very true, espechaly with weapons like metal blade, pharoh shot, and other weapons that allow 8 directional shooting. I'm guessing your already planning on making the up and down buttons server a purpous, espechaly with ladders?

Of course ladders and when it comes to the weapons I may need a lil help with some of the weapons cause its not really my specialty and I dont want to screw up any of the weapons in the game to not work in this mod

I wonder if this would work with maps from the worms mod... (for doom)
