Don't get me wrong, all of the F-Zero games have an excellent soundtrack but GX/AX had the most superior one by far. I mean seriously, when you have Daiki Kasho on your soundtrack, how can you go wrong?

it was a ripoff of the first zelda game but it was more action based and was generally better imo

That last one literally gave me goosebumps when the speedy rock/metallic part kicked in. Symphonic stuff, mixed with rock or metal, is just so overwhelmingly awesome. I hope this will become prominent in future movies. Only know one movie which has a symphonic metal soundtrack (Kull The Conquerer).

You can unlock them without the AX machine. Hit that Story Mode on Very Hard like a total boss. And get ready to retry Chapter 7 over five hundred times because of the AI cheating. Use the mines to your advantage. Yes, the mines.

Makes me wish I could use my Spark Horse-Z so much, although I already unlocked everything except the Staff Ghosts.

This post will be a little experiment, more or less.
This is an awesome track from the 3rd game in the Ys Series (To be precise: "Be Careful" from "Ys III: Wanderers from Ys" / "Ys: The Oath in Felghana") . I posted 7 versions on 7 different systems below, with a small comment to each one of them. I'd like to hear opinions.

I only have 1 reason to like Gate. That being that they actually decided to get creative with the fight and make it work. While they were at it they even added some really kickass music to go with it. Other than the battle Gate is just meh, but the battle and the battle music is just really good imo and this is probably my favourite song in the game.

The full versions of the 2 opening songs in X6 are really pro. I don't understand what they're saying because I can't understand japanese but that doesn't matter to me and it having japanese lyrics makes it better imo.

I also like the theme used on the credits, though these two opening themes feel epicer.

I sure do wish I could find Bomberman II DS's boss theme. I can't seem to find the original anywhere. (That's actually where Morshu's Saxton music comes from.)

Yep, it is the title theme of the first ~70 episodes of Urusei Yatsura.
Momoko will reappear in Game Tengoku, while the game gets ported to the NES as "Urusei Yatsura: Lum no Wedding Bell".

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 had a great story, especially the future chapter. The music really added to it, as it gave a true sense of foreboding and helplessness.

An interesting thing about the future dungeons is that they're primarily Ghost-type, which isn't something you see often anywhere else in the game. You also can't recruit Pokemon from them or revisit them, but that sort of goes without saying.

oh my gosh, Jafar went and hacked this song into SSBB for Final Destination and I just couldn't get enough of it. Then I learned where it was from, and was sent on a nostalgia rush--despite never having beaten Double Dragon 2. I've never even gotten far enough into the game to even hear this song. That game (series) is hard, man. But I might pick it up again just to get to hear this song in 8-bit.

Reminds me of a freaky glitch I ran into once in this game. One of the NPCs, stayed on the screen, even after I moved to another street. JUST STANDING THERE, NOT ANIMATING, BUT STAYING IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT ON THE SCREEN FOREVER, CHASING ME, THROUGHOUT EVERYWHERE. EVEN YOSHI WAS UNABLE TO RUN FROM THAT, uhh, I think it's supposed to be a school teacher or something?
It didn't disappear, even when I entered any of the menus, or Bowser's Castle. It only left poor Luigi alone once I turned the game off.

Uh oh, my creepypasta sense is tingling...

Basically the old N64 MIDI with higher quality instruments, just like what MKWii and MK7 did.

Needless to say, I was disappointed with MK8's completely-different-ness in regards to the retro track design and music.

Yes, the energetic, fast-paced EXTREME Rainbow Road themes of the other games are cool and such, and live instruments are super cool, but I just happen to like the nice, slow, relaxing tune of N64 over all of them. (also, the inky blackness, solid rainbow, and neon noggins were much cooler than the big city, mecha-road, and fireworks of MK8 in my opnion) And it's not like Nintendo's hired orchestra DIDN'T have the capability to imitate the old 64 sounds, right?
whatever, i just raced on this course for 60 laps in one race using a cheat code, still not bored
and i guess the fact that i've been playing the original course for 15 of my 15 years on this earth may or may not be affecting my opinion of this

I dunno. A remix doesn't always just have to be an instrument format swap. I actually like it when a remix brings in a different style or genre than what you'd expect out of it. It's kind of like the bob omb battlefield remix used in throwback galaxy. I LOVE how they added a saxxy jazz swing to it.

The thing was, I WASN'T expecting a remix, but an instrument format swap, LIKE MKWii & MK7.

Mind you, I was also expecting the courses to basically be the originals, except with updated textures & a few new features here and there. Like MKWii and MK7. And what I got were tracks that sound and look almost nothing like the originals. Which isn't the most ideal situation I'd have liked. Especially for four of my most favourite MK64 tracks. -_-
(Also Throwback Galaxy was fine because it was never meant to be the original Whomp's Fortress. The actual Whomp's Fortress is probably still within a painting somewhere deep in Princess Peach's Castle.)

Also, saxiphone spam jazz doesn't seem like Mario enough. Although growing up, I was (and still am) primary exposed to the SNES sound chip and N64 midi mapper (with a little of the GCN's whatever the heck music formats it uses for good measure) when it comes to audio, so maybe that's the reason for my distaste of the remixes and them not seeming "Mario" enough.. Although SM3DW still sounds fantastic.

Yeah, this is what I kinda expect Mario music to sound like.

Out of all the character themes in Sonic Adventure (and likely SA2 when I eventually play it), this one is easily my favourite, and since quite a few other of the songs go by my favourite genre of music (that being rock), i find it kinda surprising.

Not only is this a good theme, but it also perfectly captures Gamma as a character and the hard life he goes through. This theme is actually one of the many main reasons Gamma is one of my favourite Sonic series characters.

Very few of my favourite Sonic tunes are from games that aren't for the Genesis, Game Gear, or Game Boy Advance.
Although to be fair, I haven't really listened to any Sonic game OSTs for the other games outside of a few tracks from Sonic Adventure, Sonic Generations, and this track from Lost World.

A small bit of trivia: Mega Man's robotic dog, Rush, was named after this game's japanese name, while Bass' robotic wolf was to be named Crash in some concept art pieces, before being definitely named Gospel in Japan and Treble in the rest of the world.

I really wish I had a ps2. I don't like sony today, but ps1 and ps2 had great games.

I mention this because I played this at a friend's house. It was a really good take on Yu Gi Oh, but with an added twist to it that turned it into a sort of board game.

Pac-Man World 2 has an amazing soundtrack. It's an amazing game all together. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Besides the mostly calm level themes, it also has some really intense boss themes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeRi3796XsI), especially for a game where you play as a hungry yellow ball man who beats a group of somewhat comedic ghosts.

Pac-Man Arrangement is cool
It's severely underrated, though that's probably because it has been ignored outside of the North American only games Namcomuseum (GCN), and Pac-Man Collection. Hopefully the Virtual Console release of Pac Collection will help more people discover this title (although that one removed the multiplayer, which was the one aspect about it that stood out the most
This is yet another case of "listen to the whole soundtrack, it's really cool". Sadly, like the game itself, it's pretty hard to get. Luckily, the fellow who uploaded that track has also uploaded most of the others (just missing the fanfares?) as well!

Pac-In-Time is cool
It's really hard, sometimes maybe even impossible, but it's fun.
Also Pac's first real 2-D platform game, as I don't really count Pac-Land and Pac-Man 2 as platformers.
Somewhat disappointed that nothing from this game (or many other of Pac's games) made it into SSB 3DS. Though there's still chance for the Wii U version!

Star Fox: Assault is one of those Gamecube games that could've been so much, but went under everyone's radar after fucking Adventures. Returning to the roots of the series? Fuck, man, this is what boss themes should be. It like simultaneously goes super hard and heavy (fitting considering the bosses in SMT4 are hard) but also is kinda like reflective(?), like it's a big event and, especially considering how you essentially decide the outcome of the world in the mainline SMT games, you really get a sense of what's at stake. I also dig the neat little bell instruments in the "verse."

Most of Brawl's and Smash 4 (both version)'s soundtracks (including the music set to be used in the upcoming Miiverse stage, but excluding 25m's theme, Pandemonium (Mario Party 9's Mini-game theme), and Mushroom Gorge (it isn't a terrible song, but it just doesn't belong in Smash, they should have went with some other song from Mario Kart Wii there)

I have listened the theme of Sonic 3 duel mod, recently, always liked this kind of melody.
My favorite OST from Sonic is the one of Sonic & Knukles.... Sky Sanctuary, Death Egg, Sandopolis or Flying Battery are epic and awesome.

Also, to post a music....even the musics i like less than the others in the OST of Undertale, are still very cool !

I still listen to the soundtrack of WoW all the time. It's the one thing that didn't get worse over the years.
