This was pretty neat from the little bit I tried of it, even if I don't quite understand everything yet. Though multiple times the boss's health bar just seemed to stop working. He'd actually be taking damage and would die but his bar on the HUD wasn't updating.

Is it important that each of the survivors (is that what the term for the non-boss team is?) has just one life? I'd think reworking the boss battles with a concept similar to what the Light vs Wily beta had would improve things. Make it so that survivors respawn but each death moves a gauge one step closer to boss victory, while the boss has to just die once for survivor victory. You can then make it the norm that bosses are extremely effective and survivors will die a lot, and being caught in an ultimate move that's almost impossible to dodge cause you decided to join the fight at precisely the wrong time won't be as frustrating. Players wouldn't be sitting there waiting for the round to end when they died (especially annoying when whoops lol spawned next to ohko boss) and it could help with survivors trying to stall out the game. If some speed dude is just pinging you for tiny amounts and running away while his buddy the glass cannon is actively trying to fight you, you can simply ignore the ineffective dude and punch the points out of the power dude.

Initial thoughts after the first day of this;

-Dive's ability to chain dive you is insane and could stand to be toned down. It's more the fact that he can just do it over and over than anything, maybe kill the ammo refund on hit and work from there.

-Pirate ravager is overtuned. The slope/stair change is nice but the damage is a little too high, especially if you angle your dash along the ground to slow your speed.

-Playing as Aqua, I kept wishing for a way to empty my yellow tank without emptying the blue one. I'd fill up and start aiming to place a tower in the distance or something and then someone would rush me and I'd have to frantically just empty both tanks and try and refill on the run.

-Wave's hookshot is amazing, though I wish I could use the mainfire while traveling with it. I don't know if that would be considered too powerful or something though.

Yeah, you're intended to morph into the Weapon Archive to prevent stupidly easy captures with classes like Quick/Gyro. However, unless it works online and is just not working offline, something may have broke along the way. From what I can tell the skin isn't changing like it used to and i thought the archive could use copyweps, but you seem to not be collecting them now.

The initial build here is interesting, but seems like it could use polish/tweaking in areas. Throwing out some random thoughts I had after that first session;

-Thunder mentioned it earlier but the HP drain can get a little crazy, especially in packed servers. Having it either cap at a point or act in a logarithmic fashion might help that, and encourage and reward boss hunting rather than just deathmatching each other still.

-Boss bots can be really frustrating to fight due to their increased speed. It may be due to their current lack of firepower making them flee all the time but it seems like the best strategy once the boss appears is to flat ignore them and focus on killing their allies to damage them that way. All the better if the map has a weapon that's easy to tag them just once with to finish them off once they hit 1 HP from ally deaths. I'm pretty sure the majority of the matches I saw ended with the boss at one HP via teammate deaths and then getting hit by something.

-Bosses are kinda frustrating to play as at times. This may get alleviated once Giga Weps are introduced proper, but at the moment being offensive seems like a bad idea. If the players per team is kinda low, it seems like your best bet is to zoom around corridors and take potshots at anyone you pass, but don't engage them head on. Meanwhile if the playercount is high, pick a spot where you can bolt fast if things get terrible and camp out there cause player saturation means your health is going to tank fast.

-Do you intend for matches to be quick? They seem to last like 2-3 minutes tops at the current settings.

-Personal gripe; I don't like E.Bot's dark purple color scheme, it seems too close to blue for me. There were quite a few times I saw him in the corner of my vision and associated him with the blue team at first because I wasn't focused on him.

Fates is amazing. I'm only like two thirds of the way through Birthright and I haven't played the others yet but there's already a ton of things I love about it. After a while Awakening started to lose it's luster for me but Fates improves on things in so many ways.

I think you guys may be having a communication issue. I'm pretty sure the good doctor here is talking about the password that 4shared wants so he can actually download the skin while you guys are accidentally giving him advice on how to access it once he has it in game.

Unless "Reimu Hakurei" actually is the password then my bad.

After goofing around for another hour and a half and actually playing more than Roz and Korby, wow most of these classes are a lot better than I thought. Roz is still quite powerful but it seems that every class has something really good going for them.

Only got to goof around in DM for like an hour but Roz still seems really damn strong. Like I don't even bother with the blackjack or whatever the melee is, you just dive a victim and rapid click throw boomerangs at them. Ice/Sparky is like the only one I found that can put up a decent fight since Ice tanks it well even while debuffed and Sparky can just book it out of there. There was also a small bug when I was playing as Korby; occasionally the "none" graphic in the blue magic box wouldn't go away when I got an ablility so the two names would both be there forming a mostly unreadable blob.

Muscle Wizard is way too fun.

"Pardon me Ms. Dust, but do you know if my sponsor, RGB Industries, has been contacted about all this? From that brief look into the armory, it seems to have quite the selection of firearms and such but as you know I use non-standard methods of fighting. The decks I entered Arena Masters with were the ones Roger and his team had finished, but there were some others that were being prototyped that we didn't use due to various issues. I don't know how much the Castle would want them involved but hopefully they can work something out so that I can get something more than my basic and augment decks running if I'm going to be here for a while."

Ace had been quiet for a while thinking about the recent events, but after the Admiral had finished his question he decided to speak up.
So based on the escort we got and the things I've heard from various people I'm assuming that we've been recruited to work here, but I'm curious as to the connection between the Castle and the arena. Does every arena entrant get shown in and recruited or are the Castle's members handpicked with the arena just being one pool of possible candidates?"
