It's time for.....

The Great TBR Weapons Pack v1a!

Inclusions include

1.Fireflower
My award-winning first weapon. Based on the Super Mario Bros. item, this weapon lets you throw fireballs that bounce along the ground until hitting a wall or enemy. I updated it to have a slightly bigger sprite and put in an instagib mode with all Fire Flowers!

2.Green Shell
Green shells from Mario Kart bounce off walls until they hit someone or expire on their own.

3.Red Shell
Red shells will home in on enemies but don't reflect off walls.

4.Spiny Shell
A flying blue shell that homes in on someone and explodes.

5. Triple Green Shell
Creates a circling shield of green shells around you. Which you can then fire off one at a time. Rather buggy at the moment.

6.Magnet Beam
Taken from MM1, this item spawns elongated platforms that allow you to walk across gaps. The longer you fire, the longer the platform becomes.

7.Shrapnel Gun
Kinda like the Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament, it shoots a shotgun spread of metal shards (though they look like gray doritos) that bounce around the place.

8.Dicicle
A portmanteau of dice and icicle. It randomly shoots 1-6 icicles each time you fire it.

9.Needle Minigun
A blazing fast needle cannon with a lot of recoil.

10.Red Buster
It simply replaces your blue Mega Buster with a red one if you are on Red team.

11.Random Buster
This buster is like a box of chocolates. Every time you fire, it shoots a random type of projectile. Now updated to shoot MM7 projectiles!

12.Oshi Bomb
Like a normal hyper bomb, but when it explodes, it tosses a bunch of crash bombs. It will make your enemies go "OSHI-"*kaboom*

13.Kyorown Sentry
A single use weapon that summons a kyorown to fight for you.(and die for you, aww)

Taken from MM1, this item spawns elongated platforms that allow you to walk across gaps. Right now it has 3 uses like Item 1. But in the future I may turn it into an ammo-based weapon where you can vary the length by holding the mouse button like in the original

Since SMB is all the rage. I decided to hurry up with these before somebody else did! If you've ever played Mario Kart you know how they work. Green shells bounce off walls until they hit someone or expire on their own. Red shells will home in on enemies but don't reflect off walls. I tried to make it so shells could hit each other but no luck so far.

This modification is pretty simple. Take the ball, and kick it into the opponents net. And if the opponent has the ball, kill them until they're dead! Teamwork will be necessary as you are defenseless while holding the ball.

There are weapons scattered around Rock Field (the only map currently) that pay homage to the main levels in MMS, except Enker's Mirror Buster. For the more purist folk, if you enable buckshot mode, you get only one weapon, the Slide Kick. It's similar to the Charge Kick except when you hit people, they drop their balls.

This standalone mod simply replaces your blue Megabuster with a red one if you are on Red team.

Inspired by Ivory's post, I have created the RandomBuster! This buster is like a box of chocolates. Every time you fire, it shoots a random type of projectile. Will you get a fully charged Atomic Fire? Or a single Bass Buster pellet? Who knows?? I recommend playing Instagib with Chaos mode

The problem with making them permanent floorhuggers is that they start climbing walls like search snake.

The weapons are fun, but yeah, there are a few issues.(Not with Fireflower. That is good.)

As for Contra, you can easily get roms and emulators. But be ready for MASSIVE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSTRATION. You are given a set number of lives to begin (unless cheating or changing initial lives in Options when you can) and anything kills you in ONE HIT. I much like Metal Slug (Another game from which you could get weapon ideas)

It's alpha right now, so don't expect it to be bug free. There are many times where the balls will duplicate themselves, or just disappear. But fortunately, I have a script that resets the ball number should it go above or below 1. Though there are times where the game will crash outright, not sure why. If you have any advice for getting rid of the bugs I will be glad.

Awesome! Unfortunatly the buckshot mode was unplayable for me, it would give me the charge kick rather than the slider and whenever I scored it would crash

In fact it crashes somewhat often  :?

ok I think the cause of the crash is linked to trying to switch weapons after kicking the ball. Must fix!

I was playing on a soccer server today and I noticed it's waaay too easy to camp in the center, get the ball, jump, kick, goal, and repeat, espesccialy when the teams keep killing goalies

Perhaps I should investigate a way to give the ball to someone on the opposite team when one team scores.

Also the map might be too small. I was working with a 1 meter = 32 units scale when making it, which was basically a guess.

Changelog
-Moved player spawns toward the back ends of the field
-When one team scores, the ball is now given to a random player on the other team
-Players now get a stylish but useless jersey in their inventory
-Added the Redbuster, a teamcolored Megabuster which really ought to be in the default game if you ask me
-Fixed balls not dropping at the location where the ball holder dies. No snickering!
-Reduced occurrences of duplicate balls, I hope!

Epic solution to almost everything, I havent had 1 duplicate and now I can finnaly avoid the "what team am I on, whoops wrong goal" thing, a bug that still urks me is that the goals sometimes cant tell the teams apart, sometimes I'm on the red team and the game thinks I'm blue and vice versa, yet it lets me into the other goal


P.S. think you can put the buster thing into a wad you can add to any team servers?

It is an interesting yet simple idea...But would people go out of their way to download and put this mod in their doom-whatchamaseekers just for a buster colour adjustment?

So PM this to him. If you want to see something you made in the game, you should probably take initiative.

Just be reasonable before you ask. If you're adding some completely new weapon(or a terrible map) then the answer will probably be no.

Alright, that explains it.  Also, I noticed a glitch yesterday with it.  Every time I got Skull Barrier with this mod on, my entire screen would go white.

Inclusions include

1.Fireflower
My award-winning first weapon. Based on the Super Mario Bros. item, this weapon lets you throw fireballs that bounce along the ground until hitting a wall or enemy. I updated it to have a slightly bigger sprite and put in an instagib mode with all Fire Flowers!

2.Green Shell
Green shells from Mario Kart bounce off walls until they hit someone or expire on their own.

3.Red Shell
Red shells will home in on enemies but don't reflect off walls.

4.Spiny Shell
A flying blue shell that homes in on someone and explodes.

5. Triple Green Shell
Creates a circling shield of green shells around you. Which you can then fire off one at a time. Rather buggy at the moment.

6.Magnet Beam
Taken from MM1, this item spawns elongated platforms that allow you to walk across gaps. The longer you fire, the longer the platform becomes.

7.Shrapnel Gun
Kinda like the Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament, it shoots a shotgun spread of metal shards (though they look like gray doritos) that bounce around the place.

8.Dicicle
A portmanteau of dice and icicle. It randomly shoots 1-6 icicles each time you fire it.

9.Needle Minigun
A blazing fast needle cannon with a lot of recoil.

10.Red Buster
It simply replaces your blue Mega Buster with a red one if you are on Red team.

11.Random Buster
This buster is like a box of chocolates. Every time you fire, it shoots a random type of projectile. Now updated to shoot MM7 projectiles!

12.Oshi Bomb
Like a normal hyper bomb, but when it explodes, it tosses a bunch of crash bombs. It will make your enemies go "OSHI-"*kaboom*

13.Kyorown Sentry
A single use weapon that summons a kyorown to fight for you.(and die for you, aww)

when I'm done with my battle & chase project (finnaly decided to finish it) would you like to make a mario kart mod? (my lapcounter script, your shells, Mr.X's rainbow road map, and the mario kart skin, It's just BEGGING to be made)

Sometimes when I use the random buster a message pops up saying

"Jump target 'slashcoil' not found in randombuster"

Is that supposed to be Slash Claw?

have you ever planned on updating the megaman soccer mod for mm7?, it would also be fun if there was a classes version too, like woodman and toadman both have a wide radius but low speed making them great goalys and characters like elecman with higher speed and smaller radius and height making them perfect runners

maybe maybe. I hadn't even decided if the stages should just have aesthetic/item differences or if they should have layouts beyond regulation soccer fields.

Mega Man Soccer Progress Update: Putting some more empty frames in the soccer ball actors so hopefully make them less buggy. Also I'm changing the linedefs around the goal to be walls that toggle player blocking based on your team. But in order to do that, i had to convert the map to UDMF format, which is bring out all new bugs, such as a broken skybox. So yah.
