Instead of wolverine claws, I was thinking of letting his fingers do the talking be the claws...
Unless this isn't Predator Unit, in which case, I am thoroughly confused.

Well, it was intended to be more like Predator Unit, but I thought looking like wolverine style claws. If there's a way somebody can merge the claws with his fingers and make it look good, that'd be nice.

So this happened

Spoiler for Hiden:
Jango
(Melee, Hybrid, Duelist)

Appearance

If I don't get to working on it I'l probably end up listing things.

Passive > Endurance - Jango takes hard hits and tries his best forces them back somehow, either these hits are words or getting smacked by a fish or something.
For every time he is hit, Jango's Attack Damage is buffed by 2 points, going up to 10 stacks maximum.

Hidden Passive > Moneymaker - If Alphonse is on Jango's team, Jango gains Alphonse's passive as a secondary passive. (This does not completely rob it from Alphonse. That'd be dumb.)

Weapon > Luck and Fate - The cards will be dealt, and you'l have to accept what you got.
Jango's two blades, which he calls Luck and Fate. Deals out a 7 hit combo that deals very low damage per hit. The last hit is the strongest.

Skill 1 > Slice of Life - Here's a slice of life for you. Slice of a certain flavor of "life cake." You may take a shot at something, and it might go well. But if you make that one little mistake, it could just go downhill.
Jango slices his blades in an X-formation. If he hits, he recovers HP based on how much damage he dealt. If he misses, he loses HP based on the damage he WOULD have dealt. Yes, rising in power leads to some risk.
Jango only gets half of the restoration effect from hitting minions and neutral monsters.

Skill 2 > Taunt - You know, there are certain ways you taunt a person, and "Na-na-na-boo-boo" is NOT one of them.
Jango taunts his foe, applying them with the status Berserk for 2 seconds. The way this works is that it shoots off a really fast, invisible projectile with a decent hitbox.

Skill 3 > Spiral Edge - Life's gonna spin you around and it's not always impacting the others soft, and even yourself at times.
Jango starts spinning, lasting 5 seconds. He deals damage per second to anybody he runs into. He goes slightly faster during this, but is slowed when he is hitting somebody. Players, minions, and monsters.
At the end of the duration, he is "Dizzy" for 3/4 second. (Clarification: 75% of a second) If the status doesn't get created, then Disoriented.
The ability can be reactivated to cancel it.

Skill Mods

> Risk and Reward - Slice of Life's health restoration based on damage is multiplied by 1.2x/1.3x/1.5x. At max rank, it applies the enemy with the Vulnerable status effect.

> Offensive Statement - The duration of Taunt's Berserk effect is increased to 3/4/5 seconds. At maximum rank, it also weakens them for the same duration.

> Sharpened Blades - Luck and Fate have a 20/35/50% chance to inflict bleeding. At max rank, this also applies to Slice of Life and Spiral Edge.

> Spinner Boots - <Ultimate Mod> - Jango gets some boots that let him spin, while staying stable.

Rank 1 - Unlocks Spiral Edge.
Rank 2 - Increases movement speed buff and decreases collision slowdown. Also increases the duration to 6.
Rank 3 - When enemies are hit, they are slowed. Also increases the duration to 7.

Wow that makes Niokendi's backstory actually look good when it ISN'T.

So it's gone. It was like a generic RPG blacksmith's backstory or something.

A notice to all Under Siege fans...

Our artist is getting tired of half the champions being "dude in a cloak", so if there are no objections he's going to re-tool your character's appearance to better fit a more unique personality or archetype. The weapons / skills / english muffins will remain the same, we're just making your guy actually stand out from the other guys.

On an unrelated note, I like Zerokk's idea of a "Team Passive" where unrelated champions that might not even be designed to combo with one another end up getting certain bonuses or buffs by being in the same area or on the same team. I'm not sure about its current incarnation (and to be honest I couldn't tell you what Coldy looks for in his lunch sandwich, let alone a character submission) but it's definitely a welcome idea.

This has been an announcement from SmashBro~

Hey, I resent that. Mine was a dude in a longcoat. :ugeek:

(Joking aside, feel free to toy with appearances as you please.)

Myroc, I believe you still have to tinker around with Mordecai's ultimate ability ranks. I was able to help out Chaos_Fantasy, (probably because I could come up with stuff) but I don't really know if I brung another chicken sandwich for that. You can move the Rank 3 from Mark of the Heretic over to one of the Ultimate Ranks, but where to move one of the ultimate ranks? Possibly make a switcheroo.

When I was thinking of the team passive, I was thinking of the two characters having some sort of connection in a way, even though it wouldn't happen and it wouldn't have to happen. They're both gamblers.

Also, I checked with Coldfusion before I sent this in, he seems to like the character in general.

Also also, how many dudes in a coat do we have, anyway? Some may be what I think, but I can't tell. I want to mark Dr. Belmont as an exception, because he's THAT kind of character. Maybe Mordecai too, but he needs something cool tacked on.

Also also also, does OJ really still want Archmage Karl/Communist Mage in there, because it could probably go somewhere in CSCC if he even cared, and it's pretty much still "him" but with a different name.

drameda is a dude in a cloak with metal claws and optional scary red eyes

I'm fond of the metal claws thing seeing as it's pretty much the only defining lore-esque characteristic on the dude, but aside from that I'm okay with things being changed.

I would be just as okay with him being the only dude in cloak, though.

I recalled everyone but Jeus and Thrashwerk because Karl wouldn't have played well anyways

Besides, now I can shovel in more characters

Mine wasn't "dude in a cloak." I never actually made a proper appearance for him actually. It wouldn't be "dude in a cloak" though, more like "dude in a leather jacket and a chain shirt with cyberware and assorted bits of plate armor."

Since I'm bored, have a specific-element ariel-type class, because the latter is rare.
Spoiler for Hiden:
Lord Phenixio, the Firebird Hero
(Mixed, Hybrid, Explorer, Acrobat)

Appearance
A fellow with red markings on his face wearing a slightly burnt and damaged leather armour. He has dark brown hair and dons a helm with many large orange feathers and an eagle head motif in front. He also has a logo worn around his neck. The logo resembles a flaming wing. Besides that, Phenixio also wears foot attire that resembles a cross between sandals and eagle feet.
Phenixio also has large, majestic orange eagle wings mounted on his back(whether they are real is a debate). When idle, the wings go over his shoulders. When active or during an attack, the wings will be on fire.

Passive – Eagle Flight
Lord Phenixio has the ability to fly like a bird. When he 'jumps' in mid-air, he will channel magic through his wings and flap them to thrust himself higher(not forward). When not flapping his wings, Phenixio will spread out his wings to hover down gently(no slowdown in movement).
However, the wings require mana to work and flapping them will consume one unit of mana. Besides that, the ability(including the hover) will be disabled altogether when he is inflicted by Disable, Disorient, Distract, Jamming, Silence, Stun and Weight. He also cannot fly or hover underwater.

Weapon – Rocket Hawk
Lord Phenixio gathers his energy for a short while then charges forward at high speed. He is locked in place throughout the attack(including the energy gathering) and can remain mid-air that way.

Skill – Firebird Feathers
As the firebird hero, Phenixio has the ability to use fire magic. This skill conjures a single feather made completely out of flames. However, it cannot ignite anything and is weak. It also travels at a random direction.

Weapon – Hunting Dive
A predatory bird needs a deadly dive to capture ground prey. The phoenix is no exception. Lord Phenixio also inherits this power. The Eagle Dive attack causes the user to dive down violently feet-first, striking whatever stands in the way. However, instead of flying back up, Phenixio remains on the ground.

Skill – Thermal Tempest
The legendary Flying Fire and a deadly Fire-Wind Skill. It conjures 2 miniature fire tornadoes that travel through the air at a fair speed. When they travel long enough, the tornadoes will start floating upwards slowly.

Skill Mods
Super Stamina – Using general magic and a little cost, Lord Phenixio can slightly improve his already-superhuman stamina. By each rank, this one increases mana a little and reduces the duration to gather energy for Rocket Hawk.
Feather Blast – The Firebird Feathers can be improved. It can now conjure more feather-shaped flames per shot. The number increases to 5 in Rank 1, 9 in Rank 2 and 11 in Rank 3. They go randomly and still do not ignite victims.
Talon Strike – The Hunting Dive is not as lethal as an eagle's. However, Talon Strike can fix that. It does more damage and has a small chance of striking the victim's nerves, dealing Stun.
Phoenix Wind <Ultimate Mod> – The phoenix masters both fire and wind. With a lot of power, Lord Phenixio can release the true potential of the firebird in large quantities contained by a skill.
> Rank 1 – Flying Fire – Unlocks Thermal Tempest.
> Rank 2 – Inferno – The Thermal Tempest now sets the enemies on fire, dealing continuous damage. The tornadoes also explode violently in a small fiery blast upon contact with solids.
> Rank 3 – Volcano Storm – The final enhancement to the dealdy Fire-Wind skill. The tornadoes now leaves bits of fire in their paths. The fire bits also ingnte the victim. Besides that, the explosion from the tornadoes are larger.

Notes on this class:
Spoiler for Hiden:
*To compensate for his flying ability, I say make his defence weaker.
*If you accept elemental weaknesses, Lord Phenixio would be weak to water, ice and earth.

Notes on my other class ideas:
Spoiler for Hiden:
*I'd like to rename Hunter Powers so that he would just be a nameless Dragon Mage.

Speaking of backstories, man, I am tempted to make some long ones for my 3 characters submitted here.

There was literally nothing going on for half of my speech class today, so I tried to design a turret. Keep in mind that all I had was notebook paper and a pen and I was sketching, so it's pretty much guaranteed to look bad.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I sort of based it off of this:
