I want to start off by saying hi! Just started playing MM8BD yesterday, and it's a pretty good game! I dont usually play or like FPS games, but this ones about Mega Man, so that changes everything! It is also this reason that i'm not very good at it, and want to become better. Can you guys give any tips to help a newbie like me?

Strafe and Jump. Many players don't do the latter but it can help your survivalbility, especially when Bubble Lead and Search Snake are involved.

Don't bind keys to turn, only use the A and D keys (assuming WASD) for strafe. Use your mouse to turn. If you hold forward and strafe and angle your run where you want to go, you move much faster.

Also, flash stopper and spark shock are useless.

I set my left click to mainfire and my right click to altfire. I switch weapons with my mouse wheel. It works great. I suggest using WASD to move. Set A and D to strafe. If you need to turn, use mouselook. Gameplay-wise, grab whatever weapon you can, as it's difficult to survive with only the Mega Buster. Sometimes a turn180 bind helps to catch those chasing me off-guard. And, as FGG said, strafe and jump. When playing, you'll always want to decide which weapons work best where. Crystal Eye out in the open won't work as well as Gyro Attack or Dive Missile, but it will be your best friend in tight spaces. Magnet Missile works much better at range, but using Fire Storm up close is considerably more effective.

Try not to set your mouse sensitivity to low or to high to low will make aiming slow and clunky to high will make you flail around. Also if you ever get frustrated CALM DOWN one of the biggest problems gamers have is that they get frustrated and it fogs up their mind. And the number one thing is to find the right balance between reckless and playing safe but if you are in a map where the only choice is in the fray my best advice is keep moving and jumping but while doing this focus on hitting your target

- Find explosive/rapid fire weapons and spam them on groups.
- Rapid fire weapons are easier to aim.
- the "Autoaim" feature isn't as useful as it seems to be. It will aim your weapons mostly vertically at where your targets are but you should aim at where they are going to be.
- This is a FPS. Some people (I won't say names) will probably insult you. Ignore them. Don't complain about that in the forums because a lot of people dislike dramas. (I don't, I like justice)
- Use arrow keys. WASD is for wussies.

I DO know that this is a FPS, I was just saying that because it was a mega man FPS, it changed my opinion about trying it out. I also was not trying to complain, I was just trying to say why i needed the tips. Sorry if this comes out like i'm angry, all i'm doing is trying to explain myself. ;)

Get Treble, spawn him so he drops down onto the bottom floor, drop hyper bombs down there. See about getting Gravity Hold.
