Cutstuff Message Board

This week I will be preparing cutstuff.net for migration. The site will be merged onto a new server that me and my friend will be sharing to cut costs and expand on features. The migration shouldn't take too long and you may not even notice a difference, but in case something goes balls up I am posting this warning now. It also gives me an excuse to do some things to cutstuff that I have been wanting to do for quite some time.

Why are you moving server?

Currently I am paying £70 a month for hosting this site, and am currently unemployed. The shared hosting I will be migrating to will be just about £18 a month for the same features. Do the math.

What's this about a "Blog Split"?

Due to the increasing amount of mm8bdm custom content that's getting produced, I've decided to have a separate blog for MM8BDM which will include official and user releases. I will hire people who are willing to keep up with the modding scene and post about new releases, reviews and whatever else that's to do with MM8BDM. No I am not taking positions yet, as stated in the other thread. The Cutstuff blog will be my personal blog which consists of what I'm working on recently (including mm8bdm stuff), my thoughts on other stuff, links to my other projects and so forth.

I am looking for a new name for the website so feel free to suggest some (i.e mm8bdm battle center or something)

What about the forum?

The forum will/should remain exactly the same, posts included. Possibly a few bugs will pop up after the initial move but that's just a part of the course.

How comes I see updates on your MM7 expansion yet you're still unemployed. Projects getting in the way of things that really matter? Or a pass time as you wait for replies...

I also don't find anything bad with the name "Cutstuff"... Maybe "Team MM8BDM"? Also, what would be awesome would be people with the Megaman badge have different colour names :3. This would emphasize the "Team" part. I would also frequently masturbate furiously to my different coloured name and perhaps circle jerk with the rest of the team.*

"Cutstuff" isn't changing, the url and the name will remain the same. As for your first question, the latter. I'm at the point where I'm throwing myself at companies at the moment

For the name of the blog, I'd go with something like 8-bit Blog or something. Even though that really doesn't have MM8BDM in the name, it would be catchy.

I honestly think the blog name should stay the same! I have grown attached to the name "Cutstuff - Cutman Mike's stuff"
