Ok so this is the 1st time i've tried anything like this, let alone even play doom. But i need help. Most servers i try to join, it tells me that the following files are missing: (insert any pack here) but when i look up the WAD it says CRITICAL ERROR: No target directory specified! Aborting. Any help with this? :?

First off, hello.

Second off, it's advised that you don't use Wadseeker when searching for things such as map packs in 8BDM.

Wadseeker is activated by clicking on a server with missing wads and asking for Doomseeker to find them itself.

Here's where you can find a bunch of wads commonly used.

Wadseeker runs on Wadhost, which recently shut down after the threat of SOPA. Whether it will come back up or not, I'm not sure.

Hope this helps you!

You should have a folder for your daily MM8BDM needs.

Just download the files from the links given, and place them in your folder.

Some of the files may not be openly available to you, such as the ones on 4shared.

Otherwise, just stick them in the folder and you're ready to go, hopefully!

Do you have a folder labelled "MM8BDM-v2c" on your computer somewhere? Make sure it's extracted, and then save the files into it.

It's not anywhere special, so you'll just have to remember where you saved it. Try checking your documents and your Desktop for the folder.

There's nothing along the lines of "MM8BDM.exe", MM8BDM-v2c.pk3, and so on in there?

If no, look for a zipped, or compressed, folder and right click it. Click Extract all files, and wait for the folder to be extracted.

Then go onto the links in the post I showed you earlier and save the files into your shiny new MM8BDM-v2c folder.
