So today I pre-ordered Black 2, nothing so special. And I totally planned to have a team with just Eevee Evolutions.

Also playing through Gen 2 again for like the 5th time. I really like Gen 2 alot for some reason.

Yeaaaaaaah.

Forget the starter
because yes

Which Eeveelution are you not using out of the 7?
If you dont use Espeon, which the chance of you not using it is
rarer than A shiny, You will be killed. Violently.

I think it will be Flareon that wont be chosen! :3

(By the way, Samurott has one of the best pokemon designs in my opinion)

I thought Samurott was decent.

Dewott, though? BALLIN

Also, didn't they make Flareon suck less in Gen 5?
You know, with Flame Charge / Flare Blitz / stuff like that?

Kinda dumb to have two fire pigs really. But I already got the otter from trade, and I really hate the grass snake. So......Tepig is still my starter anyways.

It'd probably be random, pretty much. I'd totally tell you guys if I ever find a shiny in the will-happen-in-August playthrough. It also depends on whatever TMs I'd find in the game, if I get the stuff needed for a certain evo later then the others, it's pretty much dropped out.

I thought Snivy was the best-looking of all the starters, and that Servine was a sexy beast. I also thought Serperior was dumb (kinda like Emboar). However, in every other Pokemon game I play I never pick the Grass starter because I think they're lame and that better options are available later on anyways. (Sceptile was an exception; multiple Type moves and a heavy physical game? Sign me up!)

I ended up going with Snivy and never evolved it. Ever.

Now I have all three though, so when it comes to BW2 I'm absolutely clueless.

For those who are having starter trouble in gen 5 use a hat with the names of the starters in them, it will save time.
I picked snivy because it was the best looking in my opinion, looks are all I base my starter choice off.

I have an uncanny habit of always picking the Water-type starter. Don't know why; I just do, I guess.

I really should get around to doing that all poison team in Leafgreen sometime. Venasaur, Muk, Weezing, Haunter, Golbat and Tentacruel. Awww yeeeaaaaaah~

Of course, there are others I can choose from- except Arbok. hingle fingle firered darn you

Victreebell could be a viable option for getting a sub for my starter, if I wanted to go without any superpower Pokemon... Meh, who knows.

Beedrill would also work, as would one of the Nidos... Hmm, Beedrill would probably be better, now that I think about it- I can wipe out those horrid Pyschic types with him and Haunter fairly easily. With Ground covered by Venusaur and Tentacruel, that only leaves... err, was Poison weak to Ice?

Then there is Rock and Steel, which are both crushed by Grass type moves. And I guess that's about it. Muk and Weezing would both provide support for neutral types, staying alive with their incredibly high Defense stats and fairly good movepool, whereas Golbat would work well as a sweeper.

Unless I forgot a weakness, in which case I'm doomed.

Poison is only weak to Psychic and Ground, though...

I'm sorry, what? Steel RESISTS Grass. Very well.

I'd try to have something dedicated to just anti-Steel, because their complete immunity to Poison could ruin your day very quickly, and you really don't have anything to beat it (Tentracruel's Water attacks would deal normal damage, but then again... ehhhhhhhh don't rely on it). I'm pretty sure Golbat can learn Fire Fang or something, which would be great since a lot of big Steelies like to pack Earthquake (and Golbat can just fly right over it).

To be honest, I'd try to have as many dual-type Pokemon on the team as you can (without repeating type combos of course). While Poison moves in general are really nasty and can leave your opponent sore for a long time (especially in Gen 5... hot damn Acid Spray is amazing) they also have some pretty bad coverage (a few types resist Poison easily and it's only super effective versus Grass). Unless you have a versatile Poison type that gets a wide range in their moveset (like Golbat) then personally I wouldn't want them around unless you need a space filler.

... While I'm at it, give Venusaur EQ. You could use the coverage against Electric.
