I honestly didn't know Mike even played on his own server.  It's nice when the owner of a place plays with his peoples.  Even better, when they play pranks on his peoples.  X3

Griefers seem to have struck a small out of the way place, Blaze's village or something. Quite more then just an "accident" like what suprise meetings with Creepers do. There's even blatant fire, and there's no ghasts in the overworld.



Perhaps this calls for some investigation, or introduction of mods allowing so?

Could it have been lightning? It happened to me in single-player before.

Doesnt seem impossible, but even stone/unburnable structures seem to have recieved damage, or mostly just random holes. Not sure if lightning strikes in the desert of all places though.
Strangely the chests are gone too, and those can explode (i think), but not burn, so im kinda suspecting Creepers. Does thunder even affect areas outside of any player's reach (much like monsters despawn on too long distances)?

I know OrangeMario said he saw lightning strike in the Snow Biome, so it my be possible for lightning to strike in the desert. As for the chest I'm not so sure. Could some person just so happen to loot the place that looked like it wasn't used anymore considering the damage? Then again I was walking and seen a creeper hole in the middle of nowhere with items of the dirt on the ground like it exploded. Random creeper explosions too? Seems too coincidental.

I keep getting communication errors, saying:

Every time I try to connect.

Works fine here, keep trying normally and via direct connect or whatever it was called again, you do need to enter the adress to the server but it has a higher chance of connecting, somehow. Though you can paste text into the box as well, i suppose.

Hey.  For those interested, a couple things of note:
- Blaze's ruined village ("Darunia"), formerly just abandoned, is now specifically reserved for PvP battles.  I don't know what Cutmanmike's official ruling on PvP on the server is, since it's enabled and all, but now, there's a place a good distance from Cutopolis strictly for PvP action.  There's plenty of places to hide and scoot around and such.  No environmental hazards to speak of, however.
- Outside of the village walls, I wrote up a small story of the history of the village on a series of signs.  It's an interesting short read.
- Blaze came back to the village and ripped up every single one of his fence posts.  I'm not sure why, but they were his to begin with, so...
- Pigs and chickens are still available at my house.  Knock yourselves out, but please leave at least two for breeding purposes.

Hm, maybe the fences where too obstructive or something. I did light up the village a little here and there with torches, as well as patching up the wall, as it would seem logical to keep combatants in while keeping monsters out.

There is quite a lack of people on lately though, at best i see blaze and PGN building their redicously far away thing, havent seen doc or OJ on in ages. Now if something would liven up the server again...

Hm, anyone know if an update is bound to happen at all? Personally i hope an update will come so the server gets its map reset and i can build some new and better stuff. As it seems kinda pointless to keep building houses and stuff. And it might cause people to return to build new stuff as well, even if only temporarely. :P

Hm, should i build a few creative hiding spots/sniping towers in the village as well?
