Stream Link: http://www.livestream.com/bananasq (http://www.livestream.com/bananasq)

So if you've been to Cutstuff for a little while, you'll know that I used to stream anime every now and then, but stopped for personal reasons.
Guess what's about to start again?

Welcome to Anime Night with Cutstuff (less Wengar)!

What are we streaming, you probably didn't ask? Good question!

Offline

Schedule:
Basically, we stream shows from 10 PM EDT TO ROUGHLY 12:30 AM EDT.
No shows live currently.
Check back later.

Previously Streamed Shows:
(click to show/hide)

I hope you guys have fun at the coming streams! These streams are open to all participants, but try not to be unruly in the stream chat, k? I'd prefer not to have to chatban people :>
Feel free to talk about the shows listed here, or what you'd possibly want to see us stream in the future, but please, use spoiler tags when you're talking about spoilers.

wow is the English dub of Kill of la Hill really that bad

I'd say I would show up, but you put Anime Girls Death Simulator in the middle of August's block and not at the ends, and I'd much rather avoid anything having to do with that show. Consequently, this means I'd have started watching two shows in July's block that I wouldn't be able to finish in August's block without watching them separately from everyone else. Couldn't you move the slots around or something?

I'm also going to be a peen and move forth a petition to add either Ryuusei no Rockman or Space Dandy to October's block. :ugeek:
Title: Even if your problem with it was actually WHICH show it was
Post by: Korby on July 15, 2014, 05:30:16 PM
I totally knew that someone would have a problem with the 12 episodes being in the middle.

If more people have problems with it, I don't see a problem in moving the 12 episode shows to the first slot. Otherwise, you could just wait until the show you didn't want to watch is over.

Thing is though, Smash simply doesn't want to watch Madoka Magica even though it's so good and should be watched by everyone so jokes about it can be made by more people than just Chuggaa, Ivory, and Korby.

I would also like the twelve-thirteen-episoders to be moved to the first slot considering both of those shows have fewer episodes and thus end sooner than the other two shows.

Well these are conveniently pretty much what I've wanted to watch but haven't had motivation to so I'll definitely be there.

I haven't actually seen the Madoka anime, only the manga, so I'll try to be there.

I've been looking for some good animes to watch, and was actually planning on watching Gurrin Lagenn, so I think I'll join in on the stream. I must ask though, is it all subs or dubs, because if it is subs, then I'll will definitely be there.

I'd like to mention first that we'll be streaming subbed anime, so if you can't read and watch at the same time, I apologize in advance!

The Gurren Lagann dub is actually pretty good, though.

I have a small list of suggestions for the third block, should there be one.

If suggestions can be made, might I recommend "Ben-To"

Thought, it's a bit...mature. I personally like it, but that might just be because the idea of fighting for the best boxed lunch is kind of a normal thing in schools here (Trinidad is a messed up place). Plus, its short, only having 12 episodes.

I can confirm this as true. I saw it dubbed in its entirety and I can say it was worth it, even though I usually prefer my anime subbed.

Hey guys! We're going live in about 20 minutes!

A reminder that we'll actually be watching three episodes of Danganronpa tonight because the show has 13 episodes, so the stream will end a lot closer to 12:50 than 12:30. Sorry if that's a problem!

So come watch Dangitgrandpa 9-11 and 9-10 of Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill!

EDIT:
Here we go!

13-15? Are you doing another triple feature due to an odd amount of episodes again or is that a typo?

To answer, there are 26 episodes in the show when you don't count the recap episode we're skipping.

We'll be watching 3 today and probably tomorrow or sunday as well so that we still finish on time on the 10th-ish

Hi guys!

We're going live in just about 4 minutes!

Come watch episodes 3-4 of Madoka, 17-18 of Gurren Lagann(we're skipping 16, it's just a recap episode), and 15-16 of Kill la Kill!
Title: Re: Anime Night with Cutstuff (and wengar) - Tune in FRI/SAT
Post by: Korby on August 04, 2014, 01:23:55 AM
Hello again!

We're going up in about 35 minutes for the last stream until Friday, August 15th!
We'll be watching episodes 5-6 of Madoka, 19-21 of Gurren Lagann, and 17-18 of Kill la Kill!

Now's probably a good time to mention that on Saruday, August 16th, we intend on streaming the last four episodes of Gurren Lagann for maximum hype! This means that unless we finish the rest of the shows that night, anime night the following Sunday will end sooner than usual.

So, the stream's crashed about 8-9 times here, and I'm getting ping spikes of up to 20,000.

Sadly, Anime Night with Cutstuff (and wengar) will have its first cancellation.
Don't worry! We'll pick it up around the same time tomorrow, if not, earlier.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and hopefully it'll get better soon.

We're back and going live in a few minutes!

Come watch episodes 7-8 of Madoka, 22-23 of Gurren Lagann, and 19-20 of Kill la Kill!
Friendly reminder that we'll also be watching 24-27 of Gurren Lagann tomorrow!

As it turns out, Comcast is horrible, and neither Wengar nor I can actually stream today.
I apologize, but we'll have to delay today's stream!

I'd also suggest Mawaru Penguindrum, Kuuchuu Buranko, and Mekakucity Actors but I haven't finished the three of them.

Thanks for tuning in everyone!
Though we didn't always have the same amount of people, a lot of you stuck it through to the end, and as far as I could tell, enjoyed the shows!

As far as I'm considered, Anime Night was a success, and you can expect a season 2 eventually when I figure out how I want to handle it.

NO GAME NO LIFE
12 Episodes
Rated 8.74/10 by MyAnimeList

The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another "crappy game." One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where "everything is decided by games"—even national borders. Humanity has been driven back into one remaining city by the other races. Will Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing brother and sister, become the "Saviors of Humanity" on this alternate world? "Well, let's start playing."

As an experiment, we'll be watching SIX EPISODES of the show each night this time, finishing in just two days.
Afterwards, we'll find out if people preferred shotgunning one show or doing multiple ones over a longer period of time.

Thank you for joining us! No Game No Life has concluded as well as the shotgun experiment! Thanks for participating!

I'm glad those of you who watched seemed to enjoy the show as much as you did! We hope you'll have similar feelings about future shows as well!
In terms of how the next Anime Night will go, I'm not sure yet, but I doubt it'll be a shotgun again. It worked well if you had time to watch all 6 episodes, but some people only had time to watch a few or liked that they could drop in, watch a show they wanted to see, and drop out, so the next Anime Night will probably go back to the old schedule.

As usual, feel free to suggest shows for the next lineup!

See the front page for the scheduling!

To continue with the experimenting, this time Anime Night will attempt to be taking place on Instasync! (http://instasync.com/r/Korby)
For the most part this allows the streamer[me] to actually do things during the stream without it affecting your viewing experience.
Also we won't get banned from Twitch for it!

See you then, and I'm sorry that this overlaps a bit with the school year!

Also in memory of Korby's enormous post chain.
Title: here's hoping for a 30 post streak
Post by: Korby on October 14, 2015, 05:25:55 AM
Coming this November...

SEASON 4
CHAINGUN RUN
(click to show/hide)
Scheduling isn't finished yet, but it'll be on the First Post.

The main difference with this season is that we'll be watching two shows at once instead of three, and three episodes per show will be streamed a night. [Overlord and Jojo then TWGOK and Jojo]
This doesn't change what time we watch or finish at all, though we will likely have to watch 7 episodes one night [4 Overlord, 3 Jojo] because Overlord is 13 episodes long.
This will result in Anime Night ending about a week earlier than normal.

Also, depending on how cooperative Wengar is feeling, I may be streaming this season. That doesn't really have any ramifications outside of me not being able to join weeb night related calls.

I'll also be attempting to make my stream not suck so that Wengar stops threatening to, ahem, "shank me with his tiny dog paws."
