Making bots for GVH
« on: June 05, 2011, 03:20:10 PM »
I want to have a bot that uses random classes, but it always defaults to Marine/Sjas. I placed random in the class thing in botinfo, But it still defaults to marine/sjas. My god is it annoying. Help please?

I dont think random is a viable option as bot class. Best suggestion i can think of is to make an actual class called Random Human or Random Ghoul and have it change into either a human or ghoul depending what random class it is upon spawn. If the idea actually works that would probaly be great for the bots.

Of couse i think there's already an team specific random option so its kinda filling space and duplicating an existing mechanism that does unfortunately not work with bots. So if you're really persistent that might work. :P

Seriousley, depending on what colour the name of the bot was depended on the character.

Green is marine
Orange is Hunter
Silver is Cyborg
Dark Green Is Ghostbuster and Engineer
Red is Sjas
Greyish brown is Jitterskull
Brown is Choke
Blue is Frostbite
Grey is creeper

If it isn't like that in anything APART from coop then your bot scripts are screwed

Haha, No. The botinfo script has the class assigned to a specific one.
