Got a new comp, but the DS website is down. Is their any other way to get DS?

Most can be seen in-game since the well majority of all the times someone asked what music is from where happened during the game.

Sniper's theme is Millionare's Holiday fro COMBUSTIBLE LEMON and is the same theme as his Freak Fortress 2 counterpart.
Ninja Spy's theme is one of the cutscene musics played in Ninja Gaidan.
Cave's theme is The Part Where He Kills You from the Portal 2 OST.
PO-Roll's theme is Where The Wind Blows from, IIRC, Tatsu-something VS. Capcom although it was never used directly as a theme for Roll.
Scrooge's theme is Konami's Moon Base, an 8-bit remix of the Moon theme from the DuckTails by RushJet1.
Gilgamesh's Theme is an 8-bit remix of Battle on the Big Bridge from various Final Fantasy games made by commedycan.
Quote/Curly's theme is Last Battle from the Cave Story OST.
All the other music (save Slendy since his theme is just a well-recorded, neatly-edited sound of the wind howling) are probably from the original Saxton Hale TF2 game.

Might've missed one, but meh.
Appreciate it, man.

Do you have credits for the music in the .pk3?

Rozark, I think Star Hill may be a reference to that of Paper Mario (considering all the Nintendo music, I wouldn't be surprised). It reminds me a lot like that, and that had a lot of open space. If he isn't trying to replicate that, then it needs less open space.

Thunder Bolt, Yamato Spear, and Freeze Cracker are so very underrated. If you can aim them and chase properly, forward assault will nearly always result in success.
Yamato Spear is definitely not underrated. I see people using it all the time. It's very fast, has ripping qualities and does a lot of damage. Blizzard Attack on the other hand is a weapon I like to use in close combat that is pretty underrated.

not to hijack this thread but

there's some douche going around by the name of "Lord Damager" who keeps insulting this other "Ricky(numbers)" person
just giving him an extremely hard time when he's done nothing, telling him to "be a good boy" and "behave little Dicky"
you know just general prick stuff

normally I wouldn't say anything, but this has been going on for about a week solid and I'm getting tired of it
There's been a huge influx of people being huge jerks lately. Not just to Ricky456, but to a lot of other people. I usually just disconnect, change my username, and then reconnect and ignore. You have to speak up about it. Remember guys, it's just words over the internet. Everyone here (hopefully) has people in their lives that love and care about them. If you're getting sick of people being dicks to you over the internet, just take a break. Don't quit doing something you like because of other people. I'm not saying you need to deal with it -- you shouldn't have to -- but none of the mods are going to ban someone from the master server because they're being a dick, and I know that probably stings.

I've dealt with a lot of bullying before, not just over the internet but in real life, and the best way to handle it is just to ignore. Don't take anything personally. Chances are the bully is just saying the stuff to get a reaction out of you, not because they are actually cruel and want to see you cry. A lot of times bullies have been bullied themselves. Just don't give them what they want. Cyberbullying is a problem, but it's a problem we can all avoid.

Maybe you haven't noticed that Rtist's whole "Rtist is the greatest MM8BDM player of all time" bind is sarcasm. You don't need to be a wizard to figure that out.

And I will also point out that Rtist has been unfairly banned many times. Banned because "Nooblord"? Banned because "Fuck it"? Really? It's kinda bothersome. Just because he's good doesn't mean you should ban him.

The thing with Noise Crush is that it isn't difficult to charge. If you run and aim at the ground, then shoot, it charges automagically.

Looking good. I am not a big fan with all the ... "openness" in the current KAP03, if you get what I'm saying. Looks like much more variation here.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM Best-Ever Servers

As of this post, there are 21 Best-Ever servers up.

Two are private servers, which are unnecessary and inconsiderate. Frostbrand put it quite well: host your own. Don't use precious BE bandwidth for limited use. Very rarely do I even see them being used. (Looking at you, Senkle/Light fella).

Six are co-op servers, when there would really only need to be two at max: one for Cooperative and one for Survival. Anymore is just redundant and wasting more BE server capacity.

Four are Saxton Hale servers. Three of those four feature YD classes. I understand Saxton Hale is a popular mod, but there shouldn't be that many of them. Shave off the classes servers and play the game mode as was intended.

Six servers feature YD classes. Three are Saxton Hale servers and one is a private server. The other two are for the Classes TLMS Tourney (which was cancelled and thus shouldn't be up) and the other is a duel server. Five out of six of those don't need to be wasting BE servers when the duel server and maybe a TLMS server are all that are necessary.

Those that I haven't mentioned include a CTF server (basic, seems viable), a One-Flag CTF server (should go down, nobody seems to play), an "unused maps" server (this is non-classes TDM so it seems viable), a special classes server (a unique wad, seems okay), a Hell Chaos Gen server (a joke wad at best, should go down), a Mafia server (unique wad, fairly active, seems okay) and an obstacle course server (appears to be active, unique wad, should be okay).

Of the 21 presently up, roughly 13 of them are unnecessary and redundant, meaning there are only about 8 servers that deserve hosting. That's just ridiculous. If you want to host a server that's already being hosted by BE and you dislike for some inane reason, don't put up another BE server: host your own. Please don't waste bandwidth that is better used elsewhere.

Completely agree with this. While I don't think we need 13 or so to go, I definitely think there are 5 or 6 that could go. Servers like Saxton Hale classes with so many wads are also using way more bandwidth than needed.

I'm hoping BE can host a vanilla deathmatch server with some of the best map packs -- IX, CSCM, AMP. All the vanilla DM servers nowadays are just default maps and I've never really got to play multiplayer with those great maps -- those are really what most of them are intended for anyways.

Just played the map and I like it alot. My main gripe is that there is a real lack of health and energy, but other than that it's pretty good.

Now that we're on Zandronum rather than ST, how can I define that?

Wow. I never thought I'd ever see you again. Really.

It's nice to have you around again after all these years! Welcome back!
Haha you probably would not have. I actually had totally forgotten about this place. Then I picked up an old flash drive that had some Doom Builder stuff on it. And I decided to download the game again. I probably won't be around as much as I was in the past, but I'm still going to be here :)
