Hello everyone.
Since there's no introduction part of the forum, I'll do it quick and sweet right here, as it's my first post.
You may know me from GvH or any other skull-tag maps as <DRZ>Since5, but this is the handle I prefer for forums, screen names, etc.
Anyways, on to the question:
I'm very much into creating old-school adventure games as a hobby using Chris Jones' Adventure Game Studio. Learning the scripting engine for AGS was pretty simple, but compiling everything into a nice, fluid game is very difficult. I'm working on finishing a pretty big project right now, but I was thinking when I'm done, I'd work on an adventure game based on GvH. (assuming Cutman himself is alright with that idea...)
I would of course make my own story line, so I'd have to modify the hell out of some of the GvH ideas, but that's fine, I want an epic story line. No, not epic as in "dude the was epiiiiccccc!!!" but as in the way it is meant to be used properly.
The game itself would feature low-res (hopefully good, but low res) graphics (think "The Secret of Monkey Island"), so all of you who love OpenGl, high-res graphics, run for the hills. I was born in 1990, so my heart is crying out for the nostalgia.
In any case, let me know what you all think, and maybe I'll start work on it when I'm done with the game I'm currently working on.
