Not so.....when i see the gameplay of MMX corrupted....it looks 10x better
Yeah, MMX corrupted need a lot of years to be made but if Inafune take more time to make Mighty9, it could be good, Mighty9 looks more a little inde game actually.
There was maybe a lot of possibilities with this special dash.....
I hope the full game will show more things.... (i played just 2 levels, it was pretty boring)..... I hate the facts you need to finish the ennemies with the dash....it should be just a "stronger" attack than the buster, not just to finish...and yeah you can finish the ennemies with the buster but it needs more time....
Anyways, it's maybe the point of the gameplay of Mighty 9....why not, but i wont be a big fan of it.

Update/EDIT: Mighty n°9 delayed to 2016 ??? http://www.rockman-corner.com/2015/08/w ... o-9-s.html
Maybe, it's just the physical release who is delayed?

Well technically I think it is an indie game, in the very least Comcept isn't AAA level yet.
nevertheles, I've heard that the reason for the dash was a way to intentionally force the player to have to come into proximity of a threat rather than just standing as far away as possible and merely jumping and shooting. I cannot call this a strictly good or bad design choice though. it increases difficulty and requires that you not only take advantage of boss patterns for dodging, but for also choosing key openings to dash, and in the dash's defense, you seem to only need 1-2 shots before an enemy can be absorbed, unlike the classic games where enemies generally take 3-4 shots. so if anything, I thing the dash makes things a bit faster.

I am curious as to why the physical releases need to be delayed so far away, I'll admit that I'm starting to get a bit skeptical of Inafune's business practices myself after what's happened with red ash.

This hasn't been updated in a while. Here's a definite release date for anyone who still cares.

I still hope the best for Inafune, even if Mighty 9 have some trouble to be released, what make me think He was not serious, was more about the Red Ash double kickstarter without Mighty9 released..... x)

It seems, the graphism were improved:

Nice :)

For the people who are not happy, it's just some kids who are frustrated because they are not patient and want it and "right now", it's often like that... :/

I think Inafun was a bit stressed if his game is not liked so he tried certainly to improve a lot of things, good luck for me....(in waiting mm11 lol )

Even if his commercial strategy is not really good, i like how he keeps the passion for it
I miss a bit platform games (not retro), could be great to finaly get it =P

It created the anime prom night meme.

I like how the hypocrites in the comments section that complained about all the delays now want them to delay it again because it doesn't fit their "graphics-based" standards.

Wake me up when real reviews based on gameplay/story/anything that really matters come in post-release.

I will play the game for sure...even it's like an inde, nothing huge....but those dislikes reminds me how this game was overhyped at the beginning of the kickstarter...
Now you get it....making a game with a little team is hard (and with that, make his own engine!)

But his commercial strategy with adding Red Ash/Might9 serie was weird....wasnt he a bit megalo?

Sonic the Hedgehog's twitter jumped in on it

(click to show/hide)

I really hope this doesn't end up being the new Sonic Boom where it's so bad that it's meme-worthy.

The gameplay looks pretty good I guess. But their marketing is so, so bad that it hurts.

Personally I still plan to purchase it simply out of morbid curiosity. Despite the direction it's gone in, I still have a sliver of hope that it could be an enjoyable game.

The teaser really dampened my spirits, though. That much is certain.

I mean graphics aren't everything but if a 4 million dollar budget 2D platformer looks worse than a heavily budgeted early PS2 game theres a problem. This isn't even a matter of the art style trying to look low poly either, I've seen screenshots where Beck's face texture was slightly coming off of his model and don't even get me started on the cheese pizza explosions. Also from what I've seen of any actual gameplay from the demo the velocity at which Beck goes up and down so quickly when he jumps makes it look like a god damn action 52 game.
