Finally, a way to optimally play MM8BDM. Thank you, Devin Chat, for finally perfecting the game!

It makes a few graphical changes to Gamma MK2 and Evil Robot, mostly adding cyan auras to Gamma's fists on the uppercut and recoloring Evil Robot on various frames.

No problem at all! Glad I could help. Let me know if you need anything else, and have fun.

Seeya around!

Could you open up the console by pressing the Grave/Tilde button? ( ` or ~ , same button)
Inside that, type in "mm8bdm_saveprogress" and hit enter, and let me know what that says. That's the variable that tracks how far you're supposed to be in the game.

After that, you can try typing "mm8bdm_saveprogress 1070" to skip straight to the MM8 chapter.

I asked in the devchat and it seems the prevailing theory is that it's got something to do with the usage of the "Save" and "Load" function in Zandronum. It doesn't tend to play well with the game's systems, so it might have caused your issue. Sorry about that.

Hope the console command works, and I also hope you enjoy the new content!

Howdy.

I'm really glad to hear you've enjoyed what's been done with the game over the past 10 years! It's kind of crazy how far we've come, and sometimes I forget just how long that much time really is, lol.
It's true the game's population has dwindled a fair amount over the years, but we are still sticking around. Frankly, it's kind of surprising to me how tenacious our playerbase is.

I still remember launching v1 and its super cramped Light Lab, consisting of roughly 2 rooms and only the barest skeleton of a story. After the Ivory-lead MM8 expansion, people latched onto the more story-heavy content and we (mostly Mike) went back and redid a lot of the older content in a fairly massive singleplayer update, v5b, and the game was forever changed.

The amount of absolute witchcraft our team has been able to mangle Skulltag/Zandronum into doing is frankly amazing to me, and I'm forever grateful to everyone who's worked on this game for creating something that I'm proud to have been a part of. From early supporters like FuPoo, Mr. X, Splendidland, and DTD, to the team we have today, this game wouldn't exist without all of them.

Our next update will have a few features to make new player onboarding a little easier in addition to the easier installation of our recent update, so I'm hoping that if we do end up getting a boost from some content creator, players will have an easier time hooking the game up than they historically have. Needing a walkthrough to get a game up and running is not great for retention, lol.

Ultimately though, thank you for playing, both 10 years ago and now! It really means a lot to me and the rest of the team.
(Yeah, I also hate the new spoiler formatting. It's gross.)

Big thanks to Pegg and Nemu's help making my map come to fruition. It probably wouldn't be in the initial release if it weren't for them.

Good maps everyone, it's crazy how high of a turnout percentage this one had!

Most of them simply require clearing chapters. You get one from the base game (1-6) and then one for every chapter afterwards.

The others are listed as follows in the spoiler:

I'm assuming you know that you can refill your Drive Gauge by leaving to the World Map and reentering while you still have gauge ticking down.

For Wisdom, you wanna go into Timeless River and just nuke everything in Mickey's House. Depending on your drive levels after doing that, either leave and re-enter through the palace door to refill your gauge OR restore your mana at the save point and do another room. Rinse and repeat.

Master you can grind in the Mysterious Tower at Twilight Town. You need to use Drive Converter abilities, like on the Pooh keyblade, and head up to the Moon Chamber in the tower. A bunch of Gamblers are in there, and you can just play their game repeatedly to get an absolutely ridiculous amount of orbs for level ups.

Lastly, Final can be grinded naturally at The World That Never Was. There's a savepoint in Proof of Existence, so start there and head to Naught's Skyway. There's a landing after going down two slopes from the top, and a BUNCH of Nobodies spawn there. You can just farm those until your bar gets low.

It'll save you a bit of time but I wouldn't really describe them as "quickly" lol it's still gonna take a few hours to max 'em all out.

I adore that you specifically used a Gateway 2000. This is really cool.

You are missing Spark Chaser, Sakugarne, and Mega Ball.
The first two are acquired in the last level of the game, and Mega Ball is found in the same way as Sakugarne.

I think it's an issue with Zandropnum, this is something I've run into.

You can fix it by opening the console or the menu and then right clicking somewhere outside the game's window.
