I've also replaced some music files. Starman's theme now plays in Cloudman's stage (it fits with the fact the the Engineer will replace Cloudman), while the boss music for the Robot Masters BLU Mercs (and MERASMUS!) is now the Miniboss theme from Megaman 8 FC.

Pyro's base (AKA it's using-the-shotgun sprites) sprites are complete, I just need to finish the weapons, Super adaptor sprites, Burning, etc. The Flamethrower's sprites are complete as well, so I'll probably move on to the Fire Axe next, followed by finishing up Sniper and spriting Balloonicorn.

EDIT: Protoman (The RED Demoman) Is almost complete, so I'll probably get onto Bass (BLU Pyro) and Burstman (BLU Demoman), THEN I'll finish Sniper, Then I'll Do the Fire Axe sprites and Balloonicorn.

I don't like double posting, but I just finished enough of the mod for me to put up a download (AKA 2 finished bosses (3 counting the first fight with Bass), one boss who is almost done, all of Pyro's Shotgun/Flamethrower using sprites, and a few other things), but nobody was posting, so I don't really have much choice unless I want to stall the release of the first playable version of this mod until somebody posted in this thread, which could take quite a while. Anyways, have the download link for my current version of the mod.

It also comes with some screenshots I took during gameplay because I'm lazy and didn't feel like removing them before uploading the file I felt like it.

Also I hid two sprites in the rockman.bmp file: Pyro wearing the Spiral Sallet, and a Shoddy front sprites of pyro In case I ever ask someone to make a Pyro skin.

I would, but I'm already working on a full-scale mod, and I haven't even finished the bosses yet.

Also, you should try to do as much of the Spritesheet as you can by yourself. even if you're just editing the existing sprites a little bit, it gives people something to work off of.

...I'm going to go back to spriting my Pyro mod now.

I have an idea for a Protoman mod where Megaman and Protoman switch roles. Protoman's Super Adapter would be the same as Megaman's except Protoman fuses with Beat. Also, use the official Protoman Sprites.

Guys, how do you edit the bitmap files in this game without screwing everything up? I'd really like to know so that I can make a RM7FC hack that doesn't look crappy.

Nvm, I figured it out.

And now, I'm gonna make my own RM7FC hack! (which is coming along great)

...okay, now I need help getting the Slash Claw attacking sprites right for my character...because they're hard to do for me. /o~o

I need some help making the larger sprites for the Intro, Weapon Get screen, Ending, and a few other things.

You're asking for help on a lot of things that can be really time consuming. Have you actually tried doing them yourself? You haven't shown any of your efforts thus far. You'll never be able to do these things if you don't try and learn.

Well...I've never done large pixel art. I've only done simple sprites.

I'll have a beta of this hack soon, though...

Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please?

http://www.mediafire.com/download/f7evl1ht1fiywmy/Rockman+7FC+truefinal.rar

This is a sound & music modification for Rockman 7 FC. The entirety of the .pttune files and .wav files have been replaced to use updated, improved and/or reripped versions from both the official FC team and myself.

Some sound effects are entirely new, made by me. All instances associated with sound effects used by Rock Buster, Thunder Strike, Danger Wrap, Wild Coil, Crush Noise, Burning Wheel, Slash Claw, and Super Adaptor thus have new sound effects as well. The rest have been reripped.

All music was made by whoever was in charge of music rearrangements long, long ago. Long story short, I got a hold of a bunch (namely almost a thousand) of .pttune files from the original Rockman 7 FC site, ranging from non-7FC music files to numerous beta versions of 7FC music. Inbetween all these music files, there actually were improved versions of 7FC's songs, all dating to having been made over a year after the official "final2" .pttune music files. Every song in the game has been replaced with the latest revision available on the site. The biggest changes are Shade Man's alternate songs being replaced with actual covers of the original Mega Man 7 GnG covers, and Super Forte using the latest cover of the MM7 beta boss battle theme. I have also included the latest versions of both Intro Stage, Dr. Light's Lab, and Robot Museum, all unused tracks.

It's been a while since I did any mod work for this game. The last couple of mods I did were Roll and Kirby's Adventure, the latter of which was never completed due to lost data. I did my best with Roll to try and make a neat and polished mod, even if it only changed the player character. I was satisfied with that and didn't really intend to touch RM7 FC anymore.

BUT THEN

suddenly a flying inspiration came and hit me in the back of the head. When I got up, I had a realization of a new RM7FC project. A sequel to my Roll mod, I present you...

Skirt Girls!

One day Roll and a few other girls are out on a fun trek in order to search for the ancient, legendary Loch Ness Monster to see if it really exists. During their search, the girls discover a cave beneath the lake where the mythical monster, real as day, rested. The Nessie was woken by their excitement and became very angry that its sleep had been disturbed. In revenge, it decided to wage a war against the world!

The Loch Ness Monster used its strange magic powers to brainwash the girls to terrorize the world. Along with the mind control, it granted the girls individual skirts charged with various magic powers, as well as an army of strange creatures. With these super skirts, new powers and critters, the girls scatter about and send the world into chaos!

Except for Roll, who was unaffected by the Nessie's magic. Being the only one left, it's up to Roll to stop the Skirt Girls and ease the Nessie's rage!
======
The eponymous skirts-
Polka is lively but bossy!
Frilly is naive but very sweet!
Kilt is calm and quiet,
and Tutu is light on her feet!
Mini is popular and haughty.
Pencil is smart but works all week.
Grass is honest and kind.
Hilo looks scary but is actually meek!

======
Aside from obvious graphical changes, this mod offers modified level layouts using the Map Editor. Although the levels cannot be changed completely, this allows for some different challenges and an overall fresh feeling for the game!

This mod will also feature new sounds and new music, each track being replaced with something new to represent the changed levels and other features.

Also, after getting to the end of a stage and defeating the mind controlled gal, Roll will befriend and recruit her, having her use the new skirt powers for good instead of evil. This way you can play as all the skirt girls in order to stop to evil Nessie!

Updates and video previews will come as progress is made!~
