GvH - Simple Explanation Please?

I just took my girl-friend for a spin on her first GvH game, and it turns out she had a complete and total BLAST upon frags. Of course, she went to go eat before playing much of the humans.

She tried ghost-buster though, and thought it was neat...
Yea, she liked him. She liked the entire Mod itself, and kept telling me how she wanted to stay and play more, but it just turned into a "no" fest. Of course, I told her with re-assurance that the SAME server will be up tomorrow, and she can play even more. But with that, she said...

"I don't like how so many people in that server are over-competitive and mean D: Why are they like that?"

Indeed, the same question I still ask Just trolls, and flamers. Assaulting for no reason! What a valid selection.

Of course, she has no Idea what the flip flying fuck a ghoul is... and of course, Showing her a wad where something comes flying at her face isn't the answer.

I just want somebody to put it in SIMPLE terms, what is a ghoul. Hell, post a story-line why not! cutstuff*net seems to not work for me, which I find total blasphemy. (And is the reason I don't want a crappy www.cutstuff.net link)

I just want somebody to post, a short(or good, decently long story-line'ish) explanation of what a ghoul would be. She tried all the ghouls, but can't remember names. Silly woman

Okay... The first ghoul (and real ghoul) is based around an arabian myth of a hyena-ish creature that has a name similar to "iblis", meaning Satan's children. They attack and eat other animals along with preying on small children and weaker beasts, and live in the deserts. It was merely a myth to scare children as a bad bedtime story.

The page doesn't load what-so-ever. Everything else works fine, the internet over here is running at optimal speed. I just don't understand why it won't work

To repeat what I said earlier... This applies to the ancient ghoul that was first made in real life, although they are myths.

Okay... The first ghoul (and real ghoul) is based around an arabian myth of a hyena-ish creature that has a name similar to "iblis", meaning Satan's children. They attack and eat other animals along with preying on small children and weaker beasts, and live in the deserts. It was merely a myth to scare children as a bad bedtime story.

Cutman's versions are similar, only they are represented by spirits who desire revenge against humankind. They aren't like lions, tigers, and bears (OH MY!). They have human-like shapes instead of hyenas, and have different ways of killing people.

Lets not forget, they were reincarnated spirits put into physical objects that represented something which can frighten people easily... and kill them even easier if they have a panic attack, which is the case for newcomers since they are trying to recover.

The real-world ancient ghouls don't attempt to devour souls though, just flesh.

The Yurei became a Ghoul from the pure rage and hatred towards humans and somehow obtained the ability to summon Ghouls from other tormented souls, wield elemental power and magic and more.
